Legrand is launching the new edition of the Legrand Scholarship Program under the name “Legrand Empowering Scholarship Program” as part of its CSR initiative to provide financial support to deserving female students with expanded eligibility categories for female students can benefit from this support. Lighting millions of Indian homes, Legrand has consistently empowered female students to pursue higher education and become future female leaders in engineering and architecture.

In Legrand’s goal of promoting diversity and inclusion, starting this year, the Legrand Empowering Scholarship Program is being extended to benefit transgender students with disabilities. As part of this program of the Legrand Empowering Scholarship Program, more than 300 female students have benefited to date. In this new edition, Legrand aims to extend this benefit of the Legrand Empowering Scholarship to students to study finance and science degrees outside the fields of engineering and architecture. Academically promising female students who have chosen to pursue studies in B.Tech/BE/B.Arch. /Other degree (Finance or Science) – BSC/BCOM/BBA/etc. will receive 60% of annual course fees up to Rs 60,000 per year and Special Category students* will receive 80% of annual course fees up to Rs 1,000,000 per year until completion of their course in based on their academic performance.

Eligibility:

  • Open only to female students from all over India.
  • Candidates to pursue B.Tech/BE/B.Arch., Other degree (Finance or Science) – BSc/B.COM/BBA, etc.
  • Must have completed class 12 in 2021-2022.
  • Must have achieved a minimum of 70% and above marks in class 10 and 12 exams. Exceptions given to female students with disabilities and transgender students.
  • The annual family income of the applicant from all sources must be less than Rs 5,00,000.

Advantages:

  • 60% of annual tuition fee up to Rs 60,000 per annum (whichever is less) until the end of the course, depending on the academic performance of female students.
  • 80% of the annual course fees up to Rs 1,00,000 per annum (whichever is less) until the end of the course based on academic performance is awarded to special category students* based on academic performance .
  • Employment opportunities may also be offered to Special Category* students at the end of their degree who meet all of the basic employment requirements for a particular role.
