University of Phoenix and Native American Basketball Invitational (NABI) Announce Full Tuition NABI Foundation Ernest L. Stevens, Jr. – University of Phoenix Scholarship

Tribal recipient may pursue a bachelor’s or master’s degree at the University of Phoenix

PHOENIX, August 03, 2022–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The Native American Basketball Invitation (NABI) and Phoenix University are pleased to announce the NABI Ernest L. Stevens, Jr. Foundation Full-Study Scholarship – University of Phoenix. The scholarship is named for current NABI President Ernie Stevens, Jr., MM, who has dedicated most of his life to supporting education, sports, and tribal games. He has been active in supporting NABI on many levels since its inception in 2003, is a graduate of the University of Phoenix’s Masters of Management program and is also in his 21st year as President of the National Indian Gaming Association.

“When I completed my Masters in Management at the University of Phoenix, the Tribal Specialists were invaluable in helping me and providing me with resources that helped keep me engaged and on track for the future. graduation,” Stevens shares. “I am honored that the scholarship provides the opportunity for other tribal students to pursue their educational goals.”

This is the first year that the scholarship will be offered; This is a single-recipient, full-tuition scholarship for a bachelor’s or master’s degree at the University of Phoenix and covers electronic resource fees.

Eligibility:

  • Applicants must have participated in NABI between 2003 and 2022 and provide their year of participation.

  • The scholarship application is open until October 31, 2022.
