Define your DraftKings fantasy hockey rosters here: Save $50,000 in the NHL [$10K to 1st]

Moneyline of capitals +100

The Capitals haven’t picked up many wins lately, but they face a Stars team that has struggled against elite opponents at times this season. The Stars’ last four wins have come against the Sabers, Flyers, Red Wings and Devils, while two of their last three losses have come against Tampa Bay and Florida. The Capitals rank as the best 5-on-5 team in expected goal rate (xGF%) and have an 11-5-4 road record that includes a +10 goal differential in 2021-22. The extra money on Washington is worth supporting today.

Dylan Larkin will score -135

The Penguins’ goaltenders have regressed quite a bit over the past two weeks, but that’s been hidden because their offense has been scoring at a tremendous rate. It’s possible we’ll also get a Casey DeSmith start today, which would only increase the possibility of Detroit showing up with three or more goals there. Larkin averages one point per game on the season and is part of a line that produced 18 goals on the season (the seventh-most in the league). We’re getting good odds just for him getting a point in a game with a 6.5 over/under.

Top stack

Washington Capitals vs. Dallas Stars

Evgeny Kuznetsov ($5,400) – Alex Ovechkin ($8,700) – Tom Wilson ($4,500)

As mentioned above, I like a rebound for the Capitals tonight against a Dallas team that allowed 37 shots against the Devils in their last outing. Building around Alex Ovechkin today could actually end up being a contrarian game, as the Capitals have the worst perceived matchup on the slate and Ovechkin is the only player priced above $8,500.

Despite not scoring in two games, Ovechkin remains one of the best upside plays in DFS, averaging 4.6 shots on net per game while remaining in the top 1% at his position in terms of even-strength and power-play shot attempts. The Capitals have also brought Ovechkin back with Wilson and Kuznetsov at the moment, a trio that has produced early for them and ranks fourth in the league in single-line goals produced. Wilson has been productive when playing alongside Ovy and offers good value under $5,000 when in that role. He looks likely to break a three-game scoreless drought soon and is averaging 3.0 shots on net per game and over 0.5 ppg as well.

Stacking the Capitals front line today will likely get you lower ownership levels in the larger areas, as other lines have been hotter for fantasy purposes lately. Take the weak sentiment on a line that looks likely to bounce back today against an opponent who has struggled against elite Eastern Conference teams lately.

Superstar to target

Nazem Kadri, Colorado Avalanche vs. Chicago Blackhawks ($6,900)

The Avalanche will likely be without Nathan MacKinnon today and that should mean increased use for Kadri, who is already enjoying an MVP-caliber season. The former Maple Leaf carried Colorado’s second line and is also an integral part of their PP1, a role that will only grow in importance today. Kadri has an elite average of 4.5 shots on net per game and sits well in the top 10% of the overall Corsi rating of all short-term skaters.

The fantasy game couldn’t get much better either, as the Blackhawks gave up the 13th-most quality scoring chance and are on the 7th-worst penalty kill. The Hawks have allowed five or more goals in two of their last three outings and Colorado sits with a 3.9 implied goal total in the odds, second-most on the slate. Kadri is too cheap (regardless of MacKinnon’s status) and a great anchor game today.

Attack value

Jeff Carter, Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Detroit Red Wings ($4,700)

The Penguins offense should be in good spirits after being stopped by the Seattle Kraken of all teams in their last game. Jeff Carter reunited with Evan Rodrigues and was quietly productive in his final streak, averaging just under 3.0 shots per game and 1.0 ppg in his last 10 starts. The Red Wings have given up the sixth most scoring chances and have allowed 17 goals in just their last three starts. The value available with Carter under $5,000 makes him a great target today.

Jake DeBrusk, Boston Bruins vs. Arizona Coyotes ($3,600)

DeBrusk has been a streaky player for most of his career, so it’s up to us to notice when he’s actually producing. The winger has played over 15 minutes per game lately and has averaged 3.2 shots on goal + blocked shots in his last 10 starts, while picking up six points in the same span. The Bruins have a monster implied team total of 3.9, so going up against some of their lowest-priced last six players is attractive in big groups. DeBrusk has been producing well lately and is well positioned to potentially display a ceiling type of game against a weak opponent.

Goalkeepers

Igor Shesterkin, New York Rangers vs. Minnesota Wild ($8,000)

Shesterkin is likely the starter today and has gone 9-1 with a .944 save percentage in his last 10 games. Despite the sterling numbers, Rangers still settled as underdogs at home to the Wild. The fact that the Rangers are +110 underdogs will likely keep a lot of ownership over Shesterkin, who sits at a somewhat psychological salary level at $8,000. The Wild is no pushover, but being able to get Shesterkin at a reasonable price and low ownership today is too juicy a place to pass up. Any win today likely comes with huge save totals again, making it the preferred choice for GPPs.

Value on Defense

Samuel Girard, Colorado Avalanche vs. Chicago Blackhawks ($3,600)

The Avalanche will be without their (most likely) best center in Nathan MacKinnon today, but that should open up an opportunity for more use and shot attempts from other players. Samuel Girard is a player we’ve seen stepping up his offensive game when other players have been absent from Colorado’s roster in the past and remains a great value option to target when he’s under $4,000, regardless. regardless of the state of the Avalanche’s formation.

Girard is available at his lowest price on DraftKings in over 15 games today and is averaging over 0.6 points per game on the season, which alone is enough to make him a good option for value at these levels. The Blackhawks’ defensive issues and the fact that we might see Girard more on the power play with MacKinnon potentially out make him the preferred payout target on defense with a long shot.

Power play defenders

Kris Letang, Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Detroit Red Wings ($7,000)

The Penguins power play is well positioned to produce great performances in everyday fantasy. Detroit takes the 11th most penalties in the league, but also has the seventh-worst penalty and has also given up the sixth-highest scoring chance this season. That makes this game a great time to deploy the high-priced talent on the backend for Pittsburgh and Kris Letang has shown recently that he’s well worth the price he’s offering today.

Letang’s 11 points in his last 10 games has also been paired with an average of 5.6 blocked shots + shots on net per game, an output that is essentially unmatched today even by top option Cale Makar (7 $300). If you want a big chunk of Pittsburgh today, starting with Letang and building with more value options up front will probably be a more unique way to build stacks of Pittsburgh in a game that could become the highest score in the slate.

Define your DraftKings fantasy hockey rosters here: Save $65,000 in the NHL [$20K to 1st]

Columbus Blues over 2.5 goals (-125)

If you head to the team props page on the DraftKings Sportsbook, you can find alternate team totals for every team in action today. The Blue Jackets face the Flyers, who have allowed the most shots on net per game this year and the fourth most scoring chances. They have now allowed 3.0 or more goals in nine straight games and face the Blue Jackets, who have actually topped the goals-per-game average at 3.1. Columbus is coming off an embarrassing 9-2 loss, but had six goals the game before that. Their offense has an excellent chance of maintaining that terrible streak for the Flyers.

Los Angeles Kings +165 Money Line

It’s not often we should go out of our way to bet against the Colorado Avalanche, but they arrive in Los Angeles having played four games in six days and are also at the end of a straight game. The Kings have been a solid home team. They played hard at Tampa Bay in their last game and rank in the top 10 5-on-5 in expected goal ratio (xGF%). The Kings can go further here against a tired division rival and claim victory.

Top stack

Pittsburgh Penguins vs Ottawa Senators

Sidney Crosby ($7,500) – Jake Guentzel ($7,400) – Bryan Rust ($6,000)

The Penguins are in a great position today as the Senators come to town. Ottawa ranks 13th on the worst disadvantages and has allowed four or more goals in three of its last four games. Ottawa has also allowed 3.6 goals in 16 road games this year and is only 6-9-1 in those games, so visiting elite teams like Pittsburgh really hasn’t been a good place for them.

Pittsburgh’s front line hasn’t been healthy for much of the season, but when they have been, they’ve scored in bunches. This trio has five goals between them in their last five games, and it feels like they’re just getting started, now that all three of them are seeing time together at even strength and on the power play.

Both Crosby and Guentzel are underrated at this spot, but especially Guentzel who has averaged 17.4 DKFP over his last 10 games but is continually rated by other elite wingers. The Penguins front line is over $4,000 cheaper than the Avs’ first line and has a better game. Stacking these three is a good way to create those high capped lineups for GPPs today.

Superstar to target

Leon Draisaitl, Edmonton Oilers vs. Florida Panthers ($7,800)

Times are tough in Edmonton right now. The Oilers are going through an embarrassing phase that includes having their top stars get called names by the local media. Maybe the Oilers aren’t changing things fast enough to salvage their season, but there’s still a lot of fantasy left on this team and their two star prices are ridiculously low today. Leon Draisaitl being under $8,000 is something we haven’t seen in a long time, and he comes into this game with the best long-term goal rate of 0.65 per game in his position.

It’s the classic low point buy for Draisaitl, but it’s also a pretty decent game as the Panthers only have an average penalty and have taken the 10th most penalties against this year. Against a well-skating Edmonton team, the power play should be on track and give Drasaitl a big night. It’s a great building block at this price.

Attack Value

Anze Kopitar, Los Angeles Kings at Colorado Avalanche ($4,800)

The Kings face a team from Colorado who may be a bit disappointed after playing last night. Colorado has now played four games in six days and faces a Kings team that has averaged 3.5 goals per game in its last six starts. Kopitar is expected to be deployed for big minutes here and continues to see over 20 minutes in many games for the Kings. He’s averaged 3.3 blocked shots + shots on goal over his last 10 games and faces the Avalanche’s penalty kill that’s sixth-worst in the league. Kopitar’s recent rise is not recognized here at all, and it’s way too cheap at under $5,000, making it one of the top value targets on this list.

Alex Tuch, Buffalo Sabers vs. Dallas Stars ($4,900)

A more upsetting move today might be to look at the Sabers’ first line who recently added Alex Tuch to the mix. The former Golden Knight has integrated well into Buffalo’s top unit. He landed a multi-point game in his last outing. Tuch has always been good at creating his own shot and has consistently averaged over 3.0 shots per game with Vegas in a more supporting role. In his increased role with Buffalo, taking pictures with him under $5,000 seems well justified. He’s facing a stoned Stars team that’s had a terrible goaltender lately. Tuch is a good expansion or slowdown target for large fields.

Goalkeepers

James Reimer/Adin Hill, San Jose Sharks at Seattle Kraken ($7,600)

The Sharks travel to Seattle today for a short road trip against the Kraken. Seattle is just 1-8-1 in its last 10 games and its skaters remain one of the worst groups to convert scoring chances in the league. The silver line has San Jose at -105 on the DraftKings Sportsbook, but that seems a bit high for San Jose, which has won four of its last six. San Jose also has James Reimer back in the fold, who stopped 39 of 41 shots in his last game, and is coming off a spirited six-goal effort in his last game against a division opponent.

Reimer would be the preferred starter here for DFS purposes as he’s been the Sharks’ best goalie all year, but it seems worth fielding either of the Sharks goalies against this weaker Kraken offense . This is a great payment point that has the potential to boost your GPP queues with additional savings.

Value on Defense

Matt Grzelcyk, Boston Bruins vs. Washington Capitals ($3,600)

The Bruins are coming off a terrible loss to the Hurricanes (on a historic night for their franchise) and should be in a scoring mood. Washington allowed the Bruins seven goals the last time they met and has struggled with consistency lately on both sides.

Matt Grzelcyk has been playing a bigger role on Boston’s special teams on the power play lately and it’s paid off with some monster games for him, including a five-pointer against Washington when they last met. We obviously shouldn’t expect the same here, but Grzelcyk is talented and when his price is this low, he makes a great GPP lens. With an extra game and rest day under his belt after a period of COVID, don’t be shocked if he bounces back with another great game against a regressing Capitals team.

Power play defenders

Shea Theodore, Vegas Golden Knights vs. Montreal Canadiens ($5,900)

The Golden Knights have the highest implied team total on the board today at 4.1 goals and face a Montreal team that has trailed in the bottom five of the disadvantaged standings all season. Shea Theodore has played well since returning to the lineup and enters this game with a very solid average of 4.6 blocked shots + shots on goal in his last 10 starts. Additionally, he’s had four or more shots on net in each of his last five games.

Theodore actually led the Vegas defensemen on the power play in their last game, and there’s reason to believe Vegas won’t skate Alex Pietrangelo against such a weak opponent. The sub-6,000 salary on Theodore looks like great value considering his recent rise and the opponent.

San Jose Sharks Money Line +105

The Sharks have been a pretty solid team this year and are now sitting at more money on the DraftKings Sportsbook today. They face a team of Rangers at the end of a long trip to the west coast. San Jose hasn’t exactly eliminated teams lately, but they’re on a three-game winning streak and will likely face a Rangers team without their best player, goaltender Igor Shesterkin (COVID). The extra money here is worth taking for a home team that is currently downsized.

Alex DeBrincat over 3.5 shots on goal +135

The Blackhawks face the Canadiens tonight, which obviously gives the shooter a great chance to grab a point or more. However, the Canadiens are also giving up the third most shots on goal per game and DeBrincat has averaged 3.3 shots on goal in his last 10 games. DeBrincat has landed three or more shots in six straight games, and it’s a great place for him to hit some kind of ceiling performance in both points and shot volume. The 3.5+ hits at +135 seem like great value.

Top stack

Winnipeg Jets vs Detroit Red Wings

Pierre-Luc Dubois ($5,700) – Kyle Connor ($7,400) – Neal Pionk ($5,200)

We have some of the worst disadvantages in the league facing off today in the Winnipeg-Detroit game, and targeting one (or both) of those teams’ best units has a certain appeal. The Jets are missing some of their best players, but also have the highest implied team total of 3.0. With players like Blake Wheeler out for this game, we know the duo of Kyle Connor and Pierre-Luc Dubois will have plenty of time. The two are tied both at even strength and on the higher power play where the Jets have a unit that hits more than 21% of the time.

Connor has calmed down goal-scoring, but is still averaging just under 4.0 shots per night and more than one point per game for the season, making his salary less than 8,000 very acceptable here in a good game. Dubois has also excelled lately and has had three or more shots on net in each of his last six games. It’s a good breakout point for both men, who combined for nine power-play goals between them.

Rather than targeting a random winger to mess with them, using power play specialist Neal Pionk as a third stacking option makes a lot of sense. The Red Wings have the seventh-worst penalty kill in the league and Pionk has averaged 2.5 shots on goal per game in his last 10 games. He’s down for a goal himself, but he’s had three power-play assists in the last 10 games and is a perfect way to round out this top Jets duo.

Superstar to target

David Pastrnak, Boston Bruins vs. Philadelphia Flyers ($7,000)

Realistically, with the way the Bruins offense is gelling right now, you’ll probably need to get a piece of their top six in some form or fashion for DFS. Boston has scored four or more goals in six of its last seven games and started this game with a blowout win over the Canadiens. Brad Marchand ($7,100) will be popular given that he has scored seven goals in his last three games, but Boston’s second line has also been productive, with David Pastrnak now having scored four times in his last three outings.

Ownership should be lower on Pastrnak, who averages just under 4.0 shots on net per game. He’s easy to stack with Taylor Hall, who is also thinking about getting a smaller property. The Flyers have given up the fourth-best scoring chances against this year and are an excellent opponent for a juggernaut offense. Pay for the undervalued and potentially underowned Pastrnak.

Attack Value

Anthony Beauvillier, New York Islanders vs. New Jersey Devils ($3,600)

The Islanders have a great game today and a little giveaway as COVID is currently running through the Devils defensive core. As such, the Islanders have a big implied team total of 3.6 goals and their forwards are well positioned to post fantastic big totals, as the Devils are already one of the weakest defensive teams in the league. and allowed the 11th most goals. chance this year.

Beauvillier has picked up his game lately and comes with two goals scored in his last four games. His shooting volume has increased (he’s landed four or more shots in three of his last four starts) and he’s averaging more than 16 minutes per game in a second-line role. You might even want to consider Beauvillier in a goalscoring bet tonight on the DraftKings Sportbook as it’s a sweet spot for a pure goalscorer who is certainly behind for a solid positive goalscoring regression.

Goalkeepers

Ilya Sorokin, New York Islanders vs. New Jersey Devils ($8,100)

As mentioned above, the Islanders are in a great position tonight and enter the game with the Devils as -210 home favorites. While the Islanders may not have had a good start to the year, they have won three of their last four games and have had more consistent guarding from Sorokin lately, who has recorded a save percentage. .916 saves in his last 10 games. . Sorokin has also stopped 30 or more shots in four of his last five starts and the Devils are averaging more than 31 shots on goal per game, making him a pretty solid positive position for the trending goaltender.

Ultimately, the sophomore goaltender hasn’t been the problem for the Islanders this year, and with the offense finally starting to produce for New York, more wins should be upon him soon. He’s a solid favorite to aim for at net today and his price tag remains affordable.

Value on defense

Filip Hronek, Detroit Red Wings vs. Winnipeg Jets ($4,400)

The Red Wings offense is in good shape today against Winnipeg in a game that has the potential to score a lot of goals. Hronek is playing solid minutes for the Red Wings every night (over 22 minutes per game) and lately his power play production has been trending up. He’s scored three power-play points in his last 10 games and faces a Jets team that has the second-worst power-play penalty in the league. Using cheap Red Wings players isn’t a bad idea considering the opponent. Hronek’s consistent minutes and power play exposure make him a safe bet. It is well placed to score a point or more and remains relatively cheap.

Brady Skjei, Carolina Hurricanes vs. Columbus Blue Jackets ($3,400)

The Hurricanes have a whopping 4.1 implied team total tonight, so not mentioning at least one of their players would be a crime. If you want cheap exposure to their attack, then looking to the backend with a player like Skjei is a good place to start. The defender has always shown decent offensive ability and is coming off four goals and six points in his last three games. That kind of production may not be sustainable, but he faces one of the poorest defensive teams on the Blue Jackets today, allowing the second-most shots against per game. Skjei is also averaging just under 4.0 blocked shots + shots on goal per game, an elite rate that makes him great value regardless of his recent point streak. Don’t sleep on him if you need a cheap defender to complete lineups.

Power play defenders

Victor Hedman ($6,900)

The Lightning have a great game today as they take on the Vancouver Canucks in a home game. Tampa has an implied team total of 3.5 and is -255 favorites on the DraftKings Sportsbook, so a lot of scoring is expected in Tampa. The Canucks’ shorthandedness remains their Achilles’ heel because that area really hasn’t improved at all under their new head coach — they remain the worst shorthanded unit in the league.

Hedman is still patrolling the blue line on the PP1 for Tampa and he’s averaging a solid point per game on the season, while still producing in the shots on net department (2.6 per game). At less than $7,000, starting your backend exposure with Hedman isn’t a bad idea at all. He’s more affordable than he should be in a place like this, and can be stacked with any of the Lightning’s elite forwards, given the long minutes he plays in all types. of situations.

The night’s major clash between the Maple Leafs and the Golden Knights. Here is an overview of the DraftKings fantastic scenery of the NHL before the action.

Top Line Stacks

Lightning with sabers

Ondrej Palat ($ 4,900) – Brayden Point ($ 7,300) – Nikita Kucherov ($ 6,800)

The Sabers have surrendered the sixth-most goals-per-game in the league, and Tampa Bay’s No.1 line is probably not expensive enough. Point, Palat and Kucherov have scored four goals, two assists and 28 scoring chances in the last two games.

Predators vs. Avalanche

Tanner Jeannot ($ 3,100) – Mikael Granlund ($ 5,200) – Matt Duchene ($ 5,900)

Call it a hunch Granlund, Duchene and Jeannot have a strong performance against Colorado on Tuesday. The Avalanche are traveling for their second game in a row and have conceded seven goals in their last two outings. Additionally, Colorado hasn’t been a closed defense all season with 3.25 goals against per game and a 72.6 percentage from penalties for 28th. Granlund and Duchene have scored for an impressive 5.54 goals per 60 minutes this season, and Jeannot is helping reach the overall stack cap.

Penguins at Ducks

Jake Guentzel ($ 7,500) – Sidney Crosby ($ 8,400) – Evan Rodrigues ($ 6,100)

There is a sample large enough to consider the Crosby-Guentzel-Rodrigues trio as one of the most dominant in the league with 6.39 goals and 20.03 high-risk scoring chances per 60 minutes, and especially since they led possession 5 to 5. with a percentage of 63.8 Corsi.

Superstar to build

Patrick Kane, CHI at CLS ($ 7,000) – The American warms up with six assists during his active four-game streak with at least one point. However, he played 12 games without finding the back of the net despite 77 shots and 31 scoring opportunities. Look for the statistical correction to hit. Columbus has conceded 23 goals in five games over the vacation and ranks 25th in penalty shootout percentage for the year.

Value in case of violation

Alexander Barabanov, SJ v. DET ($ 3,800) – Detroit has surrendered the most goals per 60 minutes on the road this season, and Barabanov is expected to skate on the San Jose top line with Tomas Hertl ($ 6,700) and Timo Meier ($ 8,200). The trio have also scored 5.7 goals for 60 this year.

Goalie

Tristan Jarry, PIT at ANH ($ 8,000) – Pittsburgh ranks fifth in 5-5 goals against 60 minutes and leads the league in penalty percentage, so Jarry’s salary is probably not prohibitive enough. After all, he has an elite save percentage of .931 and a GPA of 1.94 for the campaign. Anaheim also only scored 2.23 goals for 60-5 to 5.

Juuse Saros, NSH v COL ($ 7,200) – That salary risks facing the integrated league’s most significant offense, so Saros is posing as a high-reward aviator against Colorado. The Avalanche are traveling for their second game in a row, and Saros is an active 10-2 with a .944 save percentage and 1.83 cumulative average. There’s obviously a low fancy floor here, too, though.

Value on defense

Ryan Merkley, SJ v DET ($ 2,500) – Here’s a minimum wage goal in the smooth game against the Red Wings. Merkley is expected to get meaningful minutes and skate on the No.2 power-play unit, and although he’s only registered one goal in eight outings, the 21-year-old defenseman has 17 points in 22 games in the AHL.

Power-play defender

Victor Hedman, VG to BUF ($ 7,000) – While he’s been relatively calm lately with just three assists in the last six games, Hedman lands in the game against the noted slump on Tuesday. He ranks seventh in points by 60 minutes among defenders this season and could go unnoticed due to his high salary.

Seth Jones, CHI at CLS ($ 6,600) – As noted, this constitutes a favorable game for Chicago’s offense, and Jones has recently underperformed relative to his underlying stats. He’s only scored the scoresheet in one of the last nine games, despite being on the ice for 96 scoring chances, a team-high, and averaging 25: 33 ice time (4:10 with men’s advantage) per game.

Friday’s NHL slate features two games, starting at 7 p.m. ET on DraftKings. In this article, you will find DFS tips for DraftKings queues, plus a few DraftKings Sportsbook bets to target.

Define your DraftKings fantasy hockey rosters here: Save $ 45,000 from the NHL [$10K to 1st]

Moneyline St. Louis Blues -115

The Blues come into this game after a loss, but overall they’ve been very consistent in the win / lose column lately. The Blues have won four of their last six games and are 12-3-2 at home this season with an excellent +25 goal differential. Despite this, they are only very small favorites at -115, which seems like a bit of an overreaction. The Capitals have a strong road record, but are just 4-4 in their last eight games. The Blues may be deprived of Vladimir Tarasenko today, but they have the depth of scoring to overcome this absence. Take advantage of the good odds available on them.

Place your Betting on the NHL at DraftKings Sportsbook or by download the DraftKings Sportsbook app.

Top stack

St. Louis Blues vs Washington Capitals

Ryan O’Reilly ($ 4,300) – Brandon Saad ($ 3,400) – David Perron ($ 4,500)

As mentioned above, there’s a good chance Vladimir Tarasenko is not in the lineup today given his diagnosis of COVID-19. That means we’ll likely see even more people like Ryan O’Reilly, who anchors the Blues’ front row. O’Reilly comes into this game averaging 4.2 shots on goal + shots blocked over his last 10 games and is certainly a player who can go any night given his solid tertiary stats.

The Capitals have a strong kill penalty, but the Blues’ number one ranked power play is still the best unit on this list to target as they also come with cheaper wingers that we can stack with our anchor at O’Reilly. David Perron is averaging almost a point per game in his last 10 games, but we can use winger Brandon Saad with those two as well. Saad collapsed a bit late, but has scored five of his 12 power-play goals this season and will likely see better use of the shots on goals today on the power-play as well given Tarasenko’s likely absence.

The Capitals might not have given up a ton of shots, but St. Louis’ top line has been opportunistic on special teams all season and faces a Washington side that allowed 3.0 goals per game in his last six starts. This insanely inexpensive header line is a good way to start the lines on that shorter slate.

Superstar to target

Sebastian Aho, Carolina Hurricanes vs. Calgary Flames ($ 8,200)

The Flames enter this game after a tough loss to the Lightning and have now lost two in a row, allowing 10 goals in the process. The Canes’ offense is not one to fade against teams fighting for defense and center Sebastian Aho enters this game still locked in the middle of a streak of hot streak that saw him win 16 points in their last 10 games.

We only have a few amounts to pay on that slate, but there is still a chance that the Flames’ goalie / defense aura will keep ownership somewhat reasonable over Aho. He should, however, be the primary target for those who wish to build around a reliable stud, as the Flames are in a tough spot to bounce back quickly and have not been up to par with other elite teams in the South East during the season. of their current road trip. Pay for Aho in what is better than advertised.

Value in case of violation

Pavel Buchnevich, St. Louis Blues v Washington Capitals ($ 4,900)

With the Blues being without Vladimir Tarasenko tonight, that would likely mean we’ll see Pavel Buchnivich enter the top six. The Russian is already playing decent minutes, but could also replace the Blues’ best power play unit, which is important given their effectiveness as a unit. Buchnevich has played more than 17 minutes per game in just his usual role and has also managed an average of 3.4 shots on goal in his last 10 games. It’s a safe bet if you’re looking to really go full blast on the St. Louis forwards today.

Daniel Sprong, Washington Capitals @ St. Louis Blues ($ 3,700)

One player to consider on the other side of this Blues – Capitals game is Daniel Sprong. The Capitals’ injury issues have meant Sprong has remained in a top-six role for Washington and he’s averaging over 14 minutes per game and 2.6 shots on goal in his last 10 games as well. The Capitals have a few different cheap wingers that you could realistically target, but Sprong has proven his advantage includes over 5 shots on the net and multiple points, and has reached over DKFP 20.0 on two occasions in his six. last matches. It’s a good GPP target whether you need to save or not.

Goalie

Frederik Andersen, Carolina Hurricanes vs. Calgary Flames ($ 8,300)

We don’t have a huge pool of goalies to choose from today, but we have a pretty solid favorite in Andersen, who sits at -180 on the Moneyline today on DraftKings Sportsbook. Andersen will surely grab a big chunk of the property today, but the fact that he’s up against an elite goalie in Jacob Markstrom on the other side may mean we get a smaller property than it is. ‘usual on the biggest favorite.

Andersen has been formidable all season with a .936 save percentage at home. With so many valuable options and cheaper salaries available in other positions, paying for the huge odds gap between Andersen and the other goalkeepers seems appropriate and a good way to gain an advantage on the pitch, and those looking to strike lightning in a bottle with one of the other keepers.

Value on defense

Brady Skjei, Carolina Hurricanes vs. Calgary Flames ($ 2,700)

On small two-game rosters we should always be looking for ways to be different in bigger areas and using less than our full salary allowance is at least a way to ensure that we have a more unique build in bigger areas. important. The Canes offense can hurt teams in a number of ways and that means a player like Brady Skjei, who has played more than 20 minutes a game lately, has the potential to give us a point or more every night. Despite having collected four points in his last three games – and an average of 3.2 blocked shots + shots on goal in his last 10 games – Skjei seems unlikely to be heavily targeted here.

The minimum wage available on Skjei might not be necessary for you to get on board all the players you want, but he has as good a fantasy as anyone on the Canes blue line, and will certainly come with little. or no property. Go for the extreme value on a slate where many may not even be interested in scrolling down to those levels at all.

Power Advantage Defenders

John Carlson, Washington Capitals @ St. Louis Blues ($ 6,800)

Much like the goalkeeper, there’s a pretty big performance gap between the top-end defender and the next level of players on this list. John Carlson comes into this game averaging DKFP 15.0 over his last 10 starts, and more importantly, he’s also started producing better shots on goalscoring in his last 10 starts.

He comes in with an average of 4.9 blocked shots + shots on goal over his last 10 games and faces a Blues side who allow over 32 shots per game and has a goalie in Jordan Binnington who posted a percentage of saves better than .900 just twice in his last six starts. You don’t necessarily have to stack the Capitals offense, but Carlson doesn’t really have any clear peers or pivots on this slate. It’s a good way to make sure you get a piece of a great Washington offense and a player who can pay for us in a number of ways today.

ADDITIONAL FOOTBALL !!!!!

Let’s talk about what will undoubtedly be a very confusing week in the NFL.

You must follow me on Twitter, otherwise you are not authorized to read this article. @ SBuchanan24.

Indianapolis Colts (-15; -1125) against Jacksonville Jaguars (+700)

Betting trends:
2021 Jaguars home record: 1-6
Jaguars 2021 home record when underdogs: 1-6
2021 Jaguars ATS Record: 4-12
Jaguars ATS record 2021 when the underdogs: 4-10

2021 Colts road record: 5-2
2021 Colts road record as favorites: 1-0
Colts ATS Record 2021: 10-6
Colts 2021 ATS record as favorites: 4-3

This game should be a blast, but gained relevance after the Colts’ loss to the Raiders in Week 17. The Colts just need to win this game to qualify for the playoffs, but to be fair, that doesn’t. should never have come to this. . Now I’m sure you’ve seen all of the “trends” that say the Colts Fought against the Jaguars on the road, losing five in a row. Like, come on now, give me a break. People are going to come up with the dumbest shit and try to use it as a benefit. Do I care what the 2016 Colts couldn’t beat the Jaguars in London? Uh no ? I care what the 2021-2022 Colts can do in THIS game here. These past results where 99% of the players in this game are not involved mean nothing to me.

Now, I would be remiss if I did not mention that I HAD a “Colts miss the playoffs” ticket that I placed during the preseason when Carson Wentz ($ 5,800) was not a lock to start the season under center. I thought it was dead before week 17, but there is a slight heartbeat at this point. So personally I wouldn’t be sorry if the Jaguars somehow came away with a win. But let’s be honest, it’s unlikely. The Jags were rotten at home and lost games by almost two touchdowns on average, down -13.7 points. Then of course they must try to stop Jonathan Taylor ($ 9,300). Opposing running backs are averaging just over 4 YPC and 99 yards per game. Taylor is second in the league in yards after contact, averaging 3.83 per attempt and a total of 1,213. For reference, those 1,213 yards after contact are more than ANY running back in the league. TOTAL. Absurd. Joe Mixon has the second-highest rushing yardage at 1,205

Best DraftKings Sports Bets Projected total

Seattle Seahawks (+215) against Arizona Cardinals (-6.5; -265) Over / Under: 48

Betting trends:
2021 Cardinals home record: 3-4
Home record for the 2021 Cardinals as favorites: 3-4
2021 Cardinals Record Over / Under: 7-9
Cardinals 2021 Over / Under record as favorites: 4-6

2021 Seahawks road record: 3-5
Seahawks road record 2021 as underdogs: 1-3
2021 Seahawks Record Over / Under: 5-10-1
Seahawks 2021 over / under record as underdogs: 1-5-1

It’s one of the most defining games of the week, despite having one of the worst games of this game. We’ve got a ton of really low totals this week for an obvious reason, but this one is by far the biggest. The Seahawks have been one of the worst teams to have succeeded throughout the season, but at least recently they have done so in four of their last five games and have averaged 29.6 points over the course of this period. Can this continue in the last week against the Cardinals?

The Cardinals have been the offense you need to worry about lately. In three games without DeAndre Hopkins, they have averaged just 17.7 points per game, which is a steep drop from the 26.2 point average for the season. It might be just the game to help point the ship in the right direction again, as this Seahawks defense goes a long way. While they’ve scored at such a high pace, they’ve also allowed an average of 22 points per game over the last five. This secondary is ripe for pick, as they’ve given up the 9th most receiving yards to opposing wide receivers and nine total TDs to opposing tight ends. Zach Ertz ($ 5,300) was one of the biggest recipients without Hopkins, shooting 33 targets, including four in the red zone, through three games without him. I think this game exceeds the biggest total on the slate.

Quarterback to build around

Josh Allen, Bison tickets vs. New York Jets, $ 8,100 – Allen is the most expensive QB on the slate, but he’s my best option to get started. The story in recent times has been its precipitous rise, which has been fully exposed, especially in recent weeks. Since the 14-10 loss to the Patriots in Week 13, Allen has run the ball a total of 42 times in four games since for a whopping 278 yards and three touchdowns. Three of those games featured double-digit runs and all saw him averaging 5.4 yards or better. Now he’s up against a Jets team that can’t stop the race and a lot at stake for the Bills. As a double-digit favorite, Allen is expected to provide enough, even with that $ 8,100 salary. In the air in Week 10 against them, Allen was 21-28 for 366 yards and two touchdowns.

Wide receiver to pair it with

Stefon Diggs, Buffalo Bills vs. New York Jets, $ 7,800 – Diggs has a few contract incentives up for grabs in Week 18. One of them seems out of reach, as he can earn a bonus if he goes over 1375 receiving yards. He would need 232 to get past that number and while it’s not totally out of the realm of possibility, it seems out of reach. He knocks on the door of 100 receptions, of which he needs six. That’ll definitely be a factor in where the ball goes on Sunday, so Diggs is the pick here (as he usually is anyway). Diggs dismantled that secondary in Week 10, recording 162 yards on eight catches and a touchdown for 33.2 DKFP. He particularly burned CB Brandin Echols cover, making two catches on three targets for 63 yards, one of them being his reception from 57 yards.

Define your DraftKings fantasy hockey rosters here: Save $ 70,000 on the NHL kick [$20K to 1st]

Devils vs Blue Jackets over 6.0 goals (-110)

I’m honestly surprised that we don’t have a total of 6.5 goals for this game, although we might just drop it. The Blue Jackets’ last six games have all seen seven or more goals scored and some of them are well over the 7.0 goal mark. Seven of the Devils’ last eight games have also seen 7.0 or more goals scored. Both of these teams have weak goalies and top scorers up front, and they’re finally healthy with Patrik Laine and Jack Hughes at the back. Take it over here.

Jets +1.5 Puckline (-125)

The Jets take on the Avalanche on the road and sit like +185 underdogs on the silver line. Despite the arrival of the Hot Avalanche, having won seven of their last eight games, the Jets compare well with them and have themselves won three in a row. Both of these teams have solid attacks and pretty poor shots on goal, but the Jets likely have an advantage with former Vezina winner Conner Hellebuyck at the net. Expect a close game with some value to get the Jets to -125 just to cover the +1.5 goals.

Top stack

Detroit Red Wings vs. Anaheim Ducks

Dylan Larkin ($ 5,900) – Tyler Bertuzzi ($ 5,700) – Lucas Raymond ($ 4,500)

It sounds odd to write, but the Red Wings frontline has been one of the league’s top fantasy producers this year. They are fourth in the league in goals scored and would be a challenge for first place in that regard, if winger Tyler Bertuzzi hadn’t missed so many games. Bertuzzi is back in the fold and in his last five games he has now scored six goals and is shooting the puck at an incredibly efficient pace, which places him among the league’s top scorers.

This line has produced 19 points in their last five games and faces a Ducks team that will be deprived of almost all of their frontline services due to injuries and COVID outages. The Red Wings are approachable and a team well positioned to produce points given the general difficulties the Ducks currently face. Stack the Red Wings L1 for maximum value and upward.

Superstar to target

Sidney Crosby, Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Philadelphia Flyers ($ 8,200)

The Penguins are on the right track and on a nine-game winning streak, where they have averaged 4.1 goals in their last 10 games. Penguins stud Sidney Crosby has been showing better and better since returning from injury and entering this game having collected 16.5 DKFP in his last outing and 15 points in just his last 10 games.

The Flyers are a formidable matchup for just about any star player, as they’ve given up the highest-quality fourth scoring chances this year and the second shots on goal per game. Crosby made a career out of carving up the Flyers, and he’s coming up with his team shooting all the cylinders and ready to put together a double-digit winning streak. Look for Crosby to continue to dominate the Flyers, and don’t be afraid to build around the Penguins’ stud, which has been one of the league’s most consistent fantasy producers lately.

Value in case of violation

Craig Smith, Boston Bruins vs. Minnesota Wild ($ 4,400)

The Bruins made some adjustments to their top two lines and the biggest beneficiary from a DFS perspective has been Smith, who now skates alongside Patrice Bergeron and Brad Marchand. Smith has averaged 0.5 points per game in his last 10 games, and he’s also averaged 3.2 healthy blocked shots + shots on goal over that span as well.

The rise in usage has seen him scoring points in his last two games and six shots on goal in his last outing. Take the discount, because Smith is now in a much better role for fantastic purposes. The Bruins come in with a healthy 3.4 implied goals total and are a team you should definitely target for stacking purposes as well.

Goalie

Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen, Buffalo Sabers vs. San Jose Sharks ($ 7,400)

We don’t have a lot of goalie confirmations today, but Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen is a name that looks set to be in the pipe tonight for his team. The Sabers goaltender has been solid for Buffalo this year and has posted save percentages of .905 or better in his seven starts this season. He also sees a ton of rubber every week and has now collected the DraftKings’ penalty shootout bonus in each of his last two games, stopping 75 of the last 83 shots he’s faced in the process.

The Sabers are just +100 underdogs and face a Sharks team that hasn’t looked so good since the COVID break ended, so the win bonus is certainly on the line today as well. Luukkonen is a great value goal regardless of what format you’re playing in and a great game on the rise for big GPPs.

Value on defense

John Klingberg, Dallas Stars vs. Florida Panthers ($ 4,300)

The Stars face a Panthers team that is good in almost every facet of the game, but lacks efficiency in terms of penalties for killing. The Stars have an emerging offense and excel especially in the power play, where John Klingberg has now collected three points in his last five games. The Stars, ranked fifth in power play, are anchored by Klingberg, who still has good potential even though he hasn’t produced as many shots on goal or blocked shots as some of the other elite defensemen in advantage. league digital.

What Klingberg does well is produce points, and he’s done it with a lot more consistency lately, having won five in his last four games and is averaging around 13, 0 DKFP in his last three outings. The Stars PP1 is an interesting contrarian target, and Klingberg makes a good stacking option if you’re going that route – or just want a good upside game on defense under $ 5,000 today.

Power Advantage Defenders

Brent Burns, San Jose Sharks at Buffalo Sabers ($ 6,100)

While I love the Sabers’ keeper for everyday fantasy, there’s every chance the Sabers-Sharks game will turn into a shootout at some point, which would potentially mean good things for the aces on the team. Sharks special. Brent Burns comes into this game having collected points in each of his last three games and also scored a power play goal two games ago. Burns might even see more use here with the male advantage, as Erik Karlsson is questionable to fit today.

Even without his recent point increase Burns would have remained a solid producer for fantastic purposes as he averages 5.3 blocked shots + shots on goal in his last 10 games. Any point explosion here by him or his teammates would likely mean Burns could push for 25.0 or even 30.0 DKFP – as both bonuses are within his grasp every night. Take the huge discount we’re getting on one of the most consistent defensive upside down games right now in DFS.

It’s a busy eight-game night in the NHL Tuesday with Boston, Colorado, Tampa Bay and Winnipeg all the big favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook. The Panthers, Golden Knights, Ducks and Red Wings will also receive home ice chalk. Regarding the schedule, the 16 teams enter rested and none play tomorrow. Plus, it’s a unique night with the Avalanche-Blackhawks and Jets-Coyotes in the only two games between the division rivals.

Define your DraftKings fantasy hockey rosters here: NHL $ 100,000 Tuesday 20 [$20K to 1st]

Top Line Stacks

Avalanche in the Blackhawks

Gabriel Landeskog ($ 6,800) – Nathan MacKinnon ($ 9,300) – Mikko Rantanen ($ 8,300)

The Blackhawks have surrendered 26 goals in their last five games – including 11 in their last two outings since the holiday break – so it’s a positive clash for the much-favored Avs. The line have also been rock solid this season with 5.2 goals per 60 minutes. MacKinnon, Landeskog and Rantanen are also all on point streaks of 10, 11 and seven games, respectively. Just note that you will have to look elsewhere to charge this battery.

Jets in Coyotes

Paul Stastny ($ 3,500) – Mark Scheifele ($ 6,800) – Nikolaj Ehlers ($ 6,900)

Winnipeg’s new header has been excellent in the last two games with four goals, 10 high-risk scoring opportunities and a 63.5 Corsi For 5-5 to end the holiday break. Obviously, the game is the real draw here, however. Arizona has surrendered 3.8 goals per game, a league record, and ranks 30th in penalty shootout percentage.

Superstar to build

David Pastrnak, BOS vs. NJ ($ 7,500) – Although the Devils have won three in a row, they have still allowed 57 goals and a 4-9-1 record since November 30. Pastranak is also considering a statistical correction after failing to score in each of the last nine games despite 68 shooting attempts. and 33 scoring chances with eight of the high-danger individual variety.

Value in case of violation

Cam Atkinson, PHI at ANH ($ 5,500) – While the back-to-back goalscorer is coming off a three-assist game, he hasn’t scored since registering a hat trick against New Jersey on December 14. In the five games since, Atkinson has racked up 15 shots, 29 attempts and 10 individuals. high risk scoring chances. That’s a solid average salary target, with Anaheim likely to miss a number of key attackers again on Tuesday.

Jansen Harkins, WPG at ARI ($ 2,500) – A minimum wage candidate skating in a top-six role, Harkins last scored and has been on the ice for four high-risk scoring opportunities. As noted, this is a smooth game against the Coyotes, and it’s a great opportunity for Harkins to skate alongside established goal scorers Pierre-Luc Dubois ($ 6,500) and Kyle Connor ($ 7,800) .

Goalie

Darcy Kuemper, COL at CHI ($ 8,300) – Not only are the Avs as healthy as they’ve been all season, they draw Chicago on Tuesday. The Blackhawks have scored just one goal in their two games after the holiday break, and Kuemper returned to form with a .925 save percentage and 2.42 average during his streak. five consecutive wins.

Jacob Markstrom, CGY at FLA ($ 7,400) – That’s a low salary for Markstrom. He’s coming off a 30-save win and is posting a .930 save percentage and a 1.99 GAA for the campaign. In addition, Calgary has allowed the fewest 5-5 goals per 60 minutes in the league and has the fourth-best penalty percentage. Suffice it to note that Florida ranks second in goals per game and won three in a row over the holiday break.

Value on defense

Logan Stanley, WPG at ARI ($ 3,300) – Certainly this is more of a high floor recommendation, as Stanley has tallied three modest assists in his last 11 games while bolstering his fantastic value with 25 shots and 21 blocks. Additionally, he would have to skate with the # 2 power play unit to increase his value in the smooth game against Arizona.

Adam Boqvist, CLS vs. VG ($ 2,700) – With Tampa Bay giving up 21 goals in four games since returning from vacation, it’s possible Boqvist will stay warm on Tuesday. After all, he’s recorded an impressive six goals and four assists for an elite 3.35 points per 60 minutes in his last 11 games. Boqvist will also be the No.1 power play unit quarterback with Zach Werenski out of roster.

Power-play defender

Cale Makar, COL at CHI ($ 7,600) – As noted, this is a soft game so Makar is well positioned to build on his dominant run this season. He’s been the pace of all defensemen in points every 60 minutes since entering the league, and also has an elite rating of 2.79 this season.

Charlie McAvoy, BOS vs. NJ ($ 5,600) – The dazzling goalscorer has racked up an impressive five points – one goal – in the last two games and lands in another favorable game on Tuesday. McAvoy also claims respectable fantastic ground with 58 shots and 49 blocks while recording a considerable ice time of 24:23 (3:05 with man advantage) across 27 games for the campaign.

Normally I’d be like, YO THIS IS THE LAST WEEK OF THE NFL WHATTTTTT SEASON!?!?

But it’s not. Week 18 is one thing and that means week 17 is just another week. So let’s talk about it.

You must follow me on Twitter, otherwise you are not authorized to read this article. @ SBuchanan24.

New England Patriots (-16; -1125) vs. Jacksonville Jaguars (+700)

Betting trends:
Jaguars 2021 road record: 0-7
2021 Jaguars road record when the underdogs: 0-6
2021 Jaguars ATS Record: 4-11
Jaguars ATS record 2021 when the underdogs: 2-4

2021 Patriots home record: 3-5
2021 Patriots home record as favorites: 3-3
2021 Patriots ATS Record: 9-6
2021 Patriots ATS record as favorites: 6-4

The broadcast on this game is pretty ridiculous. Do you honestly look at this line and want to bet on the Patriots? Admittedly, the Patriots did very well at this ATS location as the favorites, going 6-4 and averaging 9.1 points. That being said, the Patriots have at no time been double-digit favorites this season and the biggest gap they covered was -7, making it three times. The Patriots finished with -8 favorites against the Texans, the biggest gap of the season, and failed to cover that.

As for the Jaguars, they have been double-digit underdogs three times so far. This will be the fourth time they’ve been in this scenario. The Jags have covered two of the three games as an underdog, against the Bills (+14.5) and Colts (+10.5). Where they failed to cover was annihilation by the Rams, where they finished with 14 points and lost by a score of 37-7. Look, I’m not going out of my way to bet the Jags, but this spread is getting a little out of hand, in my opinion. This initially opened at -15.5, touched -16.5 at one point and has now fallen back to -16. The Patriots should be able to handle this game and get another win under their belt, but I’m not looking to take them on the sidelines.

Best DraftKings Sports Bets Projected total

Arizona Cardinals (+220) vs. Dallas Cowboys (-6.5; -275) Over / Under: 52

Betting trends:
2021 Cardinals road record: 7-1
Road record for the 2021 Cardinals as outsiders: 5-0
2021 Cardinals Record Over / Under: 7-8
2021 Cardinals Over / Under Record as Outsiders: 3-2

2021 Cowboys home record: 5-2
2021 Cowboys home record as favorites: 5-2
2021 Cowboys Record Over / Under: 7-8
Record Over / Under Cowboys 2021 as favorites: 6-5

It’s a game I’m really looking forward to and is one of two games with a set over / under in the 50s. The other game features the Chiefs on the road against the Bengals, who have an over / under of 51. Like most teams, the Cowboys and Cardinals touched the least more often than the top. In fact, only nine times have struck more than 50% of the time this season.

The Cowboys’ defense has been history lately, allowing an average of just 13.3 points in the last three games. That’s all the difference from the 20.5 point average they’ve allowed over the season. Meanwhile, the Cardinals have been completely roasting themselves lately, allowing an average of 27.3 points in the last three games, which is one of the league’s highest during this span. For reference, the football team is in first position with 36.7! The Cardinals have been really burnt in the air lately, allowing eight passing touchdowns in the last three games against the Rams, Lions and Colts. The Cowboys throw the ball early and often, as Dak still made 39 passing attempts in a 56-14 win over the soccer team.

I think it can be argued that this could decrease with the number of injuries the Cardinals face. Of course, they’ll be DeAndre Hopkins’ but the two James Conner ($ 6,100) and Chase Edmonds ($ 5,700) are less than 100%. Conner did not practice and Edmonds did so in a limited fashion. Kyler Murray ($ 7,300) struggled without Hopkins, completing just 59% of his passing attempts in two games without him and two passing touchdowns. He’s also just rushed eight times in total during that span, despite averaging 6.1 per game this season. This Cowboys high school hasn’t allowed more than nine catches to opposing receivers in three straight weeks and one touchdown. I think I would be inclined to take more than 29.5 points (-120) for the Cowboys team total instead of going over the game total.

Quarterback to build around

Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys vs. Arizona Cardinals, $ 6,700 – You can punch holes in a number of different options this week, but the Cowboys are not one of them. As I mentioned earlier, the Cowboys have an over / under 29.5 point total in this planned shootout against the Cardinals. When the Cowboys were favorites this season, he performed extremely well, averaging DKFP 22.4 while averaging only 12% of total ownership. If we break that down even further, those numbers climb to an average of 24.6 DKFP as a home favorite. As mentioned, this Cardinals team is in trouble and the Cowboys have done their part to protect the racing game. Love using it in this game with affordable pay for the game.

Wide receiver to pair it with

CeeDee Lamb, Dallas Cowboys vs. Arizona Cardinals, $ 7,100 – Lamb has been a bit calm lately, seeing less than DKFP 15 in straight three-way games. Against the two-time soccer team and the Giants, two favorable clashes, he averages only 12 DKFP despite seeing 24 targets during that span. He managed to turn that into 17 catches for 177 yards (10.4 YPR) but failed to reach the end zone going back to Week 10. That said, it should be a back-and-forth affair. and the volume follows Lamb. Although production was on hiatus, he still averaged 20.7% of the Cowboys’ total goals during that three-game stretch. He will also shoot one of the best games of this game against CB Marco Wilson. In cover, Wilson was targeted against 69 times, allowing for a 72.5% receive rate, 10.5 YPR and seven touchdowns scored against.

Thursday’s NHL slate features seven games and a slate that begins at 7 p.m. ET on DraftKings. In this article, you will find DFS tips for DraftKings queues, plus a few DraftKings Sportsbook bets to target.

Define your DraftKings fantasy hockey rosters here: Save $ 60,000 on NHL Kicks [$20K to 1st]

Panthers -150 Money Line

The Panthers face a team from Tampa Bay that will be very exhausted today. Tampa starts Maxime Legace (an NHL call) in net and is also expected to do without Mikhail Sergachev and Anthony Cirelli. The Panthers actually feel like they are being disrespected when they are just -150 home favorites at this location. Take the good number we get against the shorthanded Lightning.

Ryan Johansen over 1.5 shots on net +115

We have a fantastic chance to get the upper hand on a small total for Ryan Johansen’s shots total today. The Predators winger has had two or more shots on goal in six of his last 10 games and faces a Blue Jackets team that allows 34.8 shots per game (the most in the league). Roman Josi is also potentially still out for Nashville (COVID-19), opening up more shooting opportunities for a player like Johansen. That’s a lot and a good place to continue.

Top row stack

Calgary Flames at the Seattle Kraken

Elias Lindholm ($ 6,200) – Johnny Gaudreau ($ 6,700) – Matthew Tkachuk ($ 6,400)

The Flames face a Seattle Kraken team that struggled from the start to keep the puck out of their own net. The Kraken have allowed 3.5 goals per game this year (the fourth worst in the league), and they haven’t had a spark in the net no matter which goalie they’ve mounted. This Flames top line is in a great position tonight and has scored 20 goals together this season, a mark that leads all production lines.

The Calgary wingers are the real cogs here, and Matthew Tkachuk and Johnny Gaudreau have been playing together for quite some time now, and they’ve proven their correlation for DFS purposes. The two have combined for seven goals on their own in the last 10 games, and this line as a whole is averaging one goal per game over that same span. With a price tag well under 7,000 for all three players and averaging over 3.0 (or more) shots per game over their last 10 games, now is the perfect time and opportunity to train. this top line which is having a record year for fantastic purposes.

Superstar to target

Sebastian Aho, Carolina Hurricanes vs Montreal Canadiens ($ 7,500)

Things don’t get any more obvious than fielding a top attacking player like Sebastian Aho against the Montreal Canadiens today. Montreal is perhaps the worst defensive team in hockey right now and has third string goalies every night. As a result, the Hurricanes have an implied goals total of 4.1 on this list (the biggest by far), which makes their entire roster attractive for DFS purposes.

No one will be more attractive or popular than Sebastian Aho, who scored seven goals in his last five games before COVID-19 was stopped. The fact that we can get Aho under 8k in this location, after he has collected 14 points in his last 10 games, is somewhat surreal and that fact will surely make him one of the most popular games on this list. . With that said, you should probably just eat the chalk and build around the superstar’s center. Montreal is too good a game to risk dropping Aho out of the lineup.

Value in case of violation

Carter Verhaeghe, Florida Panthers vs. Tampa Bay Lightning ($ 3,600)

As mentioned above, the Panthers will face a team from the Lightning who will start a third recall line to the net tonight and will likely be without several defensive players in the back. This makes using the inexpensive Verhaeghe very appealing there, as he continues to get frontline minutes alongside one of the game’s most elite crosses at Aleksander Barkov. Verhaeghe has eight points in its last 10 games, and the Panthers offense has the second-highest tally of goals implied today at 3.6. Verhaeghe is a great stacking partner, but also a high value target in its own right.

Patrik Laine, Columbus Blue Jackets v Nashville Predators ($ 3,700)

The Blue Jackets will bring Patrik Laine back to the roster today, and while he might not play for many minutes, given he’s coming from a long injury layoff, Laine should be a big one. part of the Blue Jackets top six and has great rising and scoring potential. Laine had registered 10 points in nine games before being put on the IR and is a great goal of boom or bust value for GPPs. Enjoy it as its price is still less than 4k.

Goalie

Ilya Sorokin, New York Islanders vs. Buffalo Sabers ($ 7,800)

Despite all their woes this year, the Islanders enter this game with the Sabers as a -215 favorites. This makes them the second biggest favorite on this list and it also makes Sorokin a valuable target. The second-year goaltender has now posted save percentages of .909 or better in each of his last four starts and is 2-1-1 in that span. It’s a small sample, but Sorokin has a .936 save percentage in five home games this year and faces a one-game back-to-back Sabers team that allowed just over 40 shots last night. Sorokin is playing well and is well positioned to secure a victory for DFS purposes.

Value on defense

Jake Bean, Columbus Blue Jackets vs. Nashville Predators ($ 3,400)

As of late, the Blue Jackets have featured Bean in their best duo, and the 23-year-old has played over 23 minutes per game for the Blue Jackets in his last five starts. The increase in play has also allowed him to become a good fantasy producer and he averages 1.5 blocked shots and 0.5 points per game in his last 10 games. While he doesn’t get you any power play exposure, Bean’s growing role means he has a great floor as his tertiary production is on the rise. At under 3.5k, he’s a great punt game on defense and one that could surprise with a big hike if he finds a point.

Adam Larsson, Seattle Kraken vs. Calgary Flames ($ 3,400)

The Kraken have played big minutes against Adam Larsson this year, and the former Oiler and Devil has proven himself to be one of the best shot blockers in the league in this heightened role. Larsson comes into this game with a very intoxicating average of 4.3 blocked shots + shots on goal per game in his last 10 games, which makes it very attractive at its current price point. Larsson will never be a big points producer, but his tertiary stats can boost his salary. He makes a solid punt if you need several cheap defensemen today.

Power Advantage Defenders

Aaron Ekblad, Florida Panthers vs. Tampa Bay Lightning ($ 7,200)

There are some good values among the best defensive players today, as Brent Burns ($ 6,400) and Zach Werenski ($ 6,000) look like good options given that they are well below 7k. Having said that, if you can pay for Aaron Ekblad at this location, it’s definitely recommended. As I’ve mentioned a number of times before, the lighting is going to be pretty tight today, and it’s a great place for the Panthers’ power play to really have a blast.

Ekbald has proven all year round that he is capable of breaking slates and has two games with DKFP 30.0 or more in his last 10 games. Ekbald is also averaging 4.5 blocked shots + shots on goal over his last 10 games and is establishing himself as a player very capable of leading the slate in his post, should the Panthers’ offense make a breakthrough. For GPPs, there probably isn’t any higher upside play on defense today.
