Arizona Coyotes 2.5+ goals +155

It’s the same bet we made two days ago in this column but at better odds. The Coyotes scored over 2.5 goals in the first period of their last game and scored 17 goals in their last two games alone. The odds are stacked against them today as they remain +310 underdogs on the Money Line against Toronto. The Leafs have won games, but they’ve also allowed four or more goals in five of their last six games. The Coyotes are very lively dogs today, but they probably make better overgoals than outright targets given the quality of the Leafs offense.

Blue Jackets vs Islanders over 5.5 goals -115

The Columbus Blue Jackets are another team involved in constant shootouts lately. Columbus has allowed an average of 4.25 goals per game in its last four starts, and going back even further, nine of its last eleven starts have featured final scores where seven or more goals have been scored. The Isles’ offense has improved lately, and six of their last eight games have featured seven or more goals. The total of 5.5 seems worth supporting, even if we have to pay a little more juice to do so.

Top stack

Vegas Golden Knights vs. Buffalo Sabers

Jack Eichel ($6,700) – Max Pacioretty ($6,600) – Nicolas Roy ($2,900)

The Golden Knights have had their ups and downs lately, but there should be some optimism around their front line for fantasy purposes. Jack Eichel adapted quickly and is already playing big minutes as the center of the Knights’ first line. Eichel has exceeded 20 minutes in three of his last four games and has averaged 5.5 shots on goal in those four games as well. That kind of volume can only lead to good things for our daily fantasy hockey rosters, and Eichel has topped the 20.0 DKFP mark in two of his last four games.

Although the Knights are still missing Mark Stone, they did get Max Pacioretty back, and he looked healthy (finally) in his last two starts. The winger has been one of the league’s heaviest forwards since joining the Knights and now has 12 shots in his last two games. The Sabers are a great game for these two high-volume shooters given that Buffalo has allowed more than 34.0 shots on net per game this year, and also has the eighth-worst penalty kill in the league.

With such a good game, targeting both Eichel and Pacioretty gives us access to plenty of advantages at quality prizes, and we can even go for extreme value by going for Nicolas Roy. Roy was promoted to the top line a few games ago and has skated over 16 minutes in three of his last four games. Any type of dominant play from Eichel and Pacioretty could easily make him fantasy-relevant, and his sub-$3,000 salary means a mere assist will be enough to pay off his near-minimum prize pay.

Superstar to target

Jack Hughes, New Jersey Devils vs. Winnipeg Jets ($6,500)

There’s a lot of choice today in terms of big names, but I like to look more at the value side of things when choosing a superstar to build around the Devils’ Jack Hughes. Hughes really came into his own in the second half of the season and enters this game with 18 points in his last 10 outings. The former first overall pick has been a big spark for a Devils team that has now scored five or more goals in four of its last seven starts.

Despite the big game of late and increased upside, Hughes remains reasonably priced, and he’s also not someone you necessarily have to pile on for day-to-day fantasy purposes. The Devils’ top wingers don’t play much on special teams, but Hughes himself averages well over 20 minutes of short-term ice time. The Jets are coming off a thrilling win over Tampa but have allowed three or more goals in 11 straight games. Targeting Hughes and this entire Devils offense today makes a lot of sense in the lineups.

Attack value

Andreas Athanasiou, Los Angeles Kings vs. San Jose Sharks ($3,200)

The Kings offense has been playing well lately, and they’ve gotten good production from secondary sources like Andreas Athanasiou. The former Red Wing and Oiler has played in the back six roles for much of the year in Los Angeles, but some recent injuries have allowed him to sneak into a second-line role, where he excels. Athanasiou has now scored three goals in his last five games and, more importantly, won more ice time thanks to his improved game, playing more than 18 minutes in his last outing, which was the second most of all Kings forwards. He’s a great roster as a one-time clearer at just over 3,000 in salary.

Anthony Beauvillier, New York Islanders ($3,800)

The Islanders’ top forwards remain very cheap as daily fantasy hockey targets on DraftKings with many of their top wingers making less than $4,000 in salary. Anthony Beauvillier remains a fixture with the Islanders PP1 and has averaged 3.0 shots on goal over his last 10 games. He and the Isles’ other top forwards have a great game today against the Blue Jackets, who are last in shots allowed per game and scoring chances allowed. Beauvillier is considered great value with plenty of one-time advantages in this game over with Columbus.

Goalkeeper

Juuse Saros, Nashville Predators vs. Anaheim Ducks ($8,400)

The slate today is huge and we have a wide range of goalkeeper salaries to choose from. The Predators are one of the biggest slate favorites at -200 on the DraftKings Sportsbook, and they face a Ducks team that is just 2-4 in their last six games. Juuse Saros of the Predators rebounded nicely from a mini-fall and heads into today on a two-game winning streak and having stopped 42 of the last 43 shots he’s faced.

Many of the other top goaltenders on this list cost well over $8,500, and Saros has also been a better returner in the Daily Fantasy at home, where he’s averaged 16.8 DKFP this year. Saros is a great way to maintain some salary flexibility while still getting a solid net upside today.

Value on defense

Damon Severson, New Jersey Devils vs. Winnipeg Jets ($4,600)

As mentioned above, the Devils offense looks to be in good shape today against a Jets team that is having trouble limiting their opponents on the scoresheet. Although Dougie Hamilton ($6,500) is back from injury, it was still Damon Severson who scored the point on the Devils leading unit’s power play. Severson has also been successful in that role, having now scored two power-play goals in his last 10 games.

The Jets’ penalty kill remains one unit below average. Severson looks undervalued today given the game and the recent increase in production by the Devils offense. He’s a good target on his own at these levels, especially if you want to call this position. He’s also a great way to stack up alongside Jack Hughes, who plays big PP1 minutes for New Jersey.

Power play defenders

Jakob Chychrun, Arizona Coyotes vs. Toronto Maple Leafs ($5,300)

The Coyotes offense is in full swing right now. Arizona has scored 17 goals in its last two games and is heading into a matchup with the Leafs, who have been one of the worst defensive teams in hockey lately. Toronto has now allowed just under 5.0 goals per game in its last six starts, making Coyotes players worth targeting again today in the Daily Fantasy.

Jakob Chychrun has seemingly found his groove lately in the Coyotes’ upsurge as an offensive defenseman. He was one of the most reliable everyday fantasy hockey defensemen in the league last year and has now scored six points in his last four games and notched a monstrous 40.0 DKFP in his last outing. Chychrun doesn’t see much time on the power play, but that exposure could increase today given his recent form. He’s a great full-back, regardless, given the game and the fact that he’s starting to show the same kind of attacking flash he showed every night last season.

Arizona Coyotes 2.5+ goals +105

Just like we did with Columbus yesterday – when we hit the over-2.5 total on the team – we’re going for the over-2.5 total with a mediocre team in Arizona today. The Coyotes’ offense isn’t as explosive or as trustworthy as the Blue Jackets, but lately they’ve been much better. The Coyotes have scored three or more goals in seven of their last nine starts and have just beaten the Senators 8-5. They have an even worse defense in Detroit to beat today. The Red Wings have allowed three or more goals in six of their last seven games and have allowed an average of 5.33 goals in their last five starts. The extra money on Arizona to go over 2.5 seems too juicy to pass on.

Top stack

Pittsburgh Penguins vs. Florida Panthers

Sidney Crosby ($7,100) – Bryan Rust ($7,100) – Jake Guentzel ($6,600)

The Penguins and Panthers are two of the best in the Eastern Conference and meet today in what should be a fun game for everyday fantasy hockey purposes. The Panthers offense will likely get a lot of attention, but the Penguins also have one of the best lines in everyday fantasy hockey. The trio of Sidney Crosby, Bryan Rust and Jake Guentzel are averaging more than a point per game this season and sticking together for long stretches at even strength and on the power play, making them an ideal top-line to stack up.

The correlation alone makes them an overnight target and today they’ll likely be well underheld given the Penguins are small home underdogs. Florida hasn’t been as good on the road this season, allowing 3.07 goals per game. They also just finished a game last night (a 6-0 thrashing of the helpless Sabers), so fatigue will at least be a small factor.

This is mostly a potential upside and low property potential on a big listing. The Penguins front line have produced over 40.0 DKP twice in their last eight games (online) and there is certainly plenty of opportunity for them today to become one of the most successful trios in the game. the slate. Pittsburgh has played well recently, but is coming off a narrow loss to the Hurricanes. Seeing them rebound at home against another elite Panthers team wouldn’t be shocking today and their top line is likely leading the charge for production purposes in this scenario.

Superstar to target

Patrick Kane, Chicago Blackhawks vs. Anaheim Ducks ($6,900)

The slate offers us many big names today, so it’s imperative that when we’re looking to build around us, we go for the best value on the board. Patrick Kane comes into this game averaging 17.6 DKFP over his last 10 games. Kane also averaged just under 4.0 shots on goal per game during the same streak with 15 actual points. He’s also been a great home comeback this season with very positive home shares, including seeing 14 of his 18 goals for the season scored in Chicago.

The Ducks haven’t been anything special defensively lately, allowing 18 goals in their last five games (3.6 average). Anaheim has also been much poorer on the road with a -16 goal differential and allowed more than 35 shots per game on the road this season. Kane under $7,000 is a great way to start rosters and stacking the Blackhawks’ top six one way or another is something you should consider as a contrarian option in the big bucks. GPP.

Attack Value

Nick Schmaltz, Arizona Coyotes to Detroit Red Wings ($4,800)

Nick Schmaltz probably won’t net you seven points in real life like he did on his last outing. Again, he faces the Red Wings, who have allowed an abysmal 5.33 goals per game in their last five starts. The winger has played very well and has as many as nine goals in nine games while playing big minutes on the Arizona first line and PP1. Today’s game, and the fact that Schmaltz is still under $5,000 in salary, means you shouldn’t be afraid to come back to him as a fantastic option.

Jared McCann, Seattle Kraken to Toronto Maple Leafs ($3,900)

The Leafs may have won the game last night, but they needed each of their five goals to achieve that feat. Toronto has now allowed an average of 5.0 goals in its last eight starts, which makes Kraken’s top six extremely cheap forwards look like bargains. McCann’s production may be spotty, but he continues to see big top-six minutes for the Kraken and is averaging 3.3 shots on net per game in his last 10 starts. McCann has already hit the 20-goal mark this season and is a solid upside target at just $4,000 at that spot.

Goalkeeper

Jake Oettinger, Dallas Stars at Nashville Predators ($7,600)

With a huge 11-game roster today, there are plenty of cheap goalie options we should be looking at for roster construction. We’ll start with Jake Oettinger, who has averaged 19.4 DKFP per game in his last 10 starts and has a .943 save percentage in eight starts on the road this season. Oettinger and the Stars are small +110 underdogs on the road today, but Oettinger is still a good upside target in the big fields, where Nashville’s recent offensive surge will likely mean most fantasy players will hesitate. to use it.

Igor Shesterkin, New York Rangers at Minnesota Wild ($7,400)

Another small underdog to watch today is Rangers’ Igor Shesterkin. Despite being one of the Vezina Trophy leaders, we continually see Shesterkin available for less than $8,000 on DraftKings, and today it’s available for less than $7,500. The Wild’s offense is dangerous, but Shesterkin is now 12-4-1 on the road this season with a .941 save percentage. Minnesota hasn’t been playing well lately, and if Shesterkin thwarts that attack, we’ll likely see over 35 saves and a massive fantasy performance that you’ll need to have a chance at big money. He’s another favorite big-tournament value target on DraftKings today.

Value on defense

Mikhail Sergachev, Tampa Bay Lightning at Winnipeg Jets ($4,800)

There are plenty of defensive picks today as we head into under $6,000 and we can probably make both of our defensive picks into higher tier values. Sergachev has certainly stepped up as a fantastic player and option in 2022. The Russian has really come into his own in the last 10 games where he averaged over 23 minutes of ice time and also produced a big 4.9 blocked shots + shots on goal.

A prolonged goalscoring drought was finally broken by Sergachev recently and he has now found the net three times in his last four games. An important indicator of his quality of play is the fact that most of his offense has come at even strength (only six of his 31 points have come on the power play). We’re not too reliant on special teams for Sergachev to produce and he has a decent matchup with the Jets, who have allowed 3.8 goals per game in their last five starts. Start with some value on defense today by targeting the best player under $5,000 at his position.

Power play defenders

Devon Toews, Colorado Avalanche vs. New Jersey Devils ($5,600)

As mentioned above, we can easily find two stallions under $6,000 today, which will really keep our costs down. Toews sits well below that benchmark and has been arguably the best fantasy producer on the backend for the Avs in recent times. Toews has produced at a points-per-game rate in his last 10 starts and is averaging a decent 4.1 blocked shots + shots on base in the same span.

Toews’ main draw, however, is his attacking advantage and he’s shown it in spades recently, scoring three goals in his last four games. The game against the Devils couldn’t have been better either. New Jersey’s goaltenders have been some of the worst in the league so far and Colorado finds itself with an implied team total of well over 4.0 goals today. Keeping it simple on defense and going with the two well-priced studs, elite teams, in Toews and Sergachev is a great way to round out rosters today.

Boston Bruins Moneyline -105

I wouldn’t be afraid to look back on the Bruins today as they wrap up their Western Conference road trip to Las Vegas. The Bruins lost a tight 4-3 game to Anaheim in their last outing, but they’ll likely bring Jeremy Swayman back in the pipes for this game. Swayman is coming off Rookie of the Month honors and has been excellent on the road this season with an 8-2-2 record and .950 save percentage in 13 road appearances. The Bruins as a team have also thrived on the road and are 14-6 in their last 20 road games. The Golden Knights have struggled to find a consistent offense lately and are still without two of their best wingers. The Bruins offense is one of the best units in the league since the return of Brad Marchand and we are almost getting the money needed to take Boston. The B’s Moneyline is a solid way to start betting cards today.

Top stack

New York Islanders vs. Vancouver Canucks

Brock Nelson ($4,400) – Anthony Beauvillier ($3,000) – Anders Lee ($3,400)

There are plenty of big names and offenses to load onto this list, so if we’re looking for a full combo to stack today, going for some serious value will make building that much easier. The Islanders are in an interesting position as they return home after a long Western Conference road trip and face a Canucks team that has been in the East for the past week. Vancouver has been all over the map lately, picking up big wins over the Flames and Rangers but also giving up seven goals to Anaheim and New Jersey in humiliating losses.

The Canucks still retain the worst penalty kill in hockey, which makes this top three Islanders intriguing for fantasy purposes. Mathew Barzal is still day-to-day, and Brock Nelson would slot back in as a top center and handle primary power-play duties should Barzal sit down again. He has played over 18 minutes in three of his last four games and has also had four or more shots on net in four of his last eight starts. Teammate Anthony Beauvillier is still shooting well below his career mark of 12.1%, but has been more aggressive with his shooting lately, making 5+ shots in two of his last three games. Anders Lee also has an objective + bonus type advantage and barely comes in above the minimum price.

All three look good for a potential short-term positive regression in the shooting department and the Canucks’ erratic goaltending lately makes for an attractive game. The front row of islands is a good stack of value today and should allow you to target other elite duos up front to complete your lineups.

Superstar to target

Aleksander Barkov, Florida Panthers vs. Ottawa Senators ($8,900)

The Panthers have an implied team total today that’s pushing over 4.0 goals, making it an offense you’ll want to be exposed to for daily fantasy hockey rosters. Lately they have been worn by Aleksander Barkov, who has scored 0.62 goals per game this season and seven points in his last four games. Barkov and the entire Panthers offense were machines when they played in Florida, averaging 4.58 goals per game and over 39 shots on goal per game.

The Finnish center is coming off a 10-shot performance against Edmonton itself that saw him score two goals. He now gets an Ottawa Today team that has allowed 3.45 goals and over 33.5 shots per game on the road this season. Barkov is easy to overlook when we have McDavid and MacKinnon on the slate, but he’s been as efficient or better than his two peers lately and comes at a better price. Start your Florida stack with Barkov today.

Attack Value

Tyler Toffoli, Calgary Flames vs. Montreal Canadiens ($3,800)

I doubt there is much ill will between Toffoli and the Canadiens. After all, the team allowed him to leave, mid-season, and go to one of the best teams in hockey. Still, there’s no doubt that there’s an extra motivating factor at play against a team that just let you go just a month ago. Toffoli has integrated well with the Flames and recently had five points in a two-game series with the Wild. The Canadiens’ disparate goaltending combo showed some major cracks in their last outing and Calgary will likely help facilitate as many chances as possible for their new stud to appease his ego with a goal against his old team. Don’t overthink this one today.

Warren Foegele, Edmonton Oilers vs. Chicago Blackhawks ($2,700)

The Oilers forward squad is suffering right now with Ryan Nugent-Hopkins out for at least another week and Kailer Yamamoto also a playing time decision. That means Foegele has been cemented to Connor McDavid’s hip lately at equal strength. The promotion has seen the former Hurricane play over 16 minutes in the last two games and although he has yet to capitalize on the opportunity with a goal, he has landed several shots on net in consecutive starts. The Blackhawks are allowing more than 32 shots per game and aren’t a solid 5-on-5 team. Priced just over the minimum, Foegele is a great clearing option today.

Goalkeeper

Jeremy Swayman, Boston Bruins vs. Vegas Golden Knights ($7,500)

If we’re targeting the Bruins for a Moneyline play, then for fantasy purposes, we can certainly look to their goaltender today as well. I mentioned some of Swayman’s recent stats above, but he’s also been lit for fantasy purposes recently. Swayman has returned 19.0 DKFP or more in five of his last six games and looks undervalued again today. It will essentially be his lowest price of the season and the discount comes at a good time considering he hasn’t allowed more than two goals in his last six starts.

The Golden Knights have scored more than three goals just once in their last seven games and are fielding a patchwork of wingers with little scoring potential to make up for losses to Max Pacioretty and Mark Stone. It’s a good time to look back on the Bruins and Swayman today for fantasy and bets.

Value on defense

Shayne Gostisbehere, Arizona Coyotes vs. Colorado Avalanche ($4,200)

We certainly don’t need to go overboard with the Coyotes players on this list, but this award on Gostisbehere is well worth taking. The former Flyer has been a savior for the Coyotes defense in some ways given Jakob Chychrun’s ($5,000) offensive regression this season. Gostisbehere comes into this game with Colorado averaging 0.6 ppg and has posted strong home splits for fantasy ends, averaging 9.6 DKFP at home this season, compared to 7.8 on the road.

The Avalanche have also been a bit more accessible on the road, allowing over 3.1 goals per game, and they maintain a below-average penalty kill. Gostisbehere’s power play exposure and solid use make him a good target at this price, which happens to be his lowest priced all season.

Power play defenders

Aaron Ekblad, Florida Panthers vs. Ottawa Senators ($6,700)

Ekblad has been great in so many ways for the Panthers lately and could even find himself a Norris Trophy runner-up, where his DraftKings Sportsbook odds sit at +1800, putting him in fifth place in betting odds. The Panthers defenseman has averaged a point per game and 4.6 blocked shots + shots on goal over his last 10 games, and like most Panthers players, he has huge home splits that make him an excellent target today.

Ottawa hasn’t been as bad defensively this season as in previous seasons, but it ranks sixth in shorthanded percentage and fifth in shots against. You don’t mind paying for two of Florida’s stallions in such good locations and Ekblad is a good match for whatever Panthers PP1 forward you decide to pair him with today.

Montreal Canadiens Moneyline +185

If you’ve read my articles lately, you know I’ve been keeping tabs on the Habs streak lately, and after another win over the Senators on Saturday, there’s no reason to be afraid of them. today against the Jets. Winnipeg ended a four-game losing streak with a win over Arizona on Sunday, but hasn’t been a strong home team this season. They slipped below the league average in expected goal rate and allowed the ninth-highest scoring chance. The Canadians have finally found a solid goaltender in Sam Montembeault, who has stopped 92 of his last 96 shots faced, and still looks a solid value at a big +185 odds.

Minnesota Wild Moneyline -115

The Minnesota Wild are 16-4-1 in 21 home starts this season, so every time the finance line gets closer to a tie, the Wild kind of becomes instant value at home. The reason it’s even close — with Minnesota as the slight favorite — is of course because they face the Flames, who beat them 7-3 in the last game. This game was made more lopsided than it was with two goals into an empty net. Minnesota have crumbled lately (five losses in six games) but at home against a big rival (who’s been playing a lot lately) it’s a good place to support them.

Top stack

Minnesota Wild vs. Calgary Flames

Ryan Hartman ($5,000) – Kirill Kaprizov ($7,500) – Mats Zuccarello ($5,500)

The Wild lost a 7-3 game in Calgary two days ago, but they managed to beat Jacob Markstrom on just 25 shots and should be ready to try and get out of the gates faster in the rematch. The Wild’s forwards have all been much better fantasy lineups at home this season with Kirill Kaprizov leading the way in that regard. Kaprizov is averaging 1.5 actual points per game at home and 19.5 DKFP per game in 20 home starts. While the Wild’s front line has calmed down a bit lately, Kaprizov had five shots and a goal against Calgary in their first meeting and looks like a solid roster under $8,000.

If we like Kaprizov, we almost certainly have to pair him with Mats Zuccarello these days, who skates alongside the Russian at even strength and on the power play. Zuccarello has become a more than one point per game player this season, and one of the most modest. Like Kaprizov, he has been much more productive at home, averaging 15.2 DKFP at home compared to just 9.8 on the road. Finishing the stack with center Joel Eriksson Ek is also an easy decision. Like Zucarrello, Ek is undervalued for fantasy purposes given his role in the power play (10 of his 16 goals this season have come with the man advantage) and he’s even taken on the duties front-line officials at the moment in the center.

Calgary is a tough test, but the Wild have scored against everyone this season (5th most goals this season) and their top line seemed to be just getting started in the most recent meeting between these two teams.

Superstar to target

Connor McDavid, Edmonton Oilers and Philadelphia Flyers ($8,900)

There’s a lot of offensive firepower to choose from today, but I don’t mind getting to the top of the board and seeing if we can get some breakthrough play from the best in the world. Connor McDavid has looked set to burst with such a game lately, as he’s now had multiple points in three of his last five starts. McDavid’s also started shooting later (45 shots in its last 10 games), a trend that caused its torrid start to the season.

The Oilers are entrenched in a dogfight for the final playoff spots in the West right now and have been involved in close games with two Eastern Conference powerhouses in their last two starts. Now they get the weaker Flyers and have no time to stop. Expect a big game from McDavid there, who torched the Flyers for 31.5 DKFP in a loss in the first month of the season.

Attack Value

Brendan Gallagher, Montreal Canadiens at Winnipeg Jets ($3,400)

The Canadiens’ first line has done them a lot of damage lately on the scoreboard, but there’s still some potential value lurking on their second line. Brendan Gallagher has regressed this season from a goalscoring perspective, but mostly out of necessity, he is still entrenched in a top-six role and has also been catching PP1 ice recently.

That hasn’t translated to many goals lately, but Gallagher has had four or more shots on net in two of his last three games and faces a Jets team that has featured some of the worst special teams this season. Gallagher went scoreless for more than 10 games, but his efforts should soon pay off, and at under $3,500 today, he’s a solid value with the entire Canadiens squad looking good again. respectable.

Goalkeeper

Sam Montembeault, Montreal Canadiens at Winnipeg Jets ($7,000)

We have a pretty broad roster with big top lines and studs like McDavid (see above) who are in for great matchups. What better way to save money than to go down to goalie and roll with a player in Sam Montembeault, who has worked his way into the number one position for the Canadiens. Montembeault has now made five starts since Feb. 10 and has seen 32 or more shots against in all but one of those appearances.

The Canadiens are still allowing plenty of shots on net, but Montembeault has simply been up to the task and now gets a Jets team that barely cringed against the Coyotes in their last game to snap a four-game losing streak. Winnipeg has fallen below the league average in goals per game and is up against a Montreal team that is playing without pressure, given that its playoff dreams are already in vain. Montembeault certainly comes with more risk, but it’s worth it considering the $7,000 fixed salary and the different directions these two teams are heading.

Value on defense

Tyson Barrie, Edmonton Oilers vs. Philadelphia Flyers ($4,400)

Barrie has struggled this season after being rewarded with a big contract. The offensive specialist has started to play more on the PP1 again lately and he has collected four assists in his last four games, including three on the power play. He’s started to look more like last season’s player who was reaching almost uncontrollable levels with Connor McDavid, and the two are getting a great game tonight to capitalize on.

Philadelphia has the sixth-worst penalties in the league and allows 33.5 shots on net per game, also the worst in the league. Barrie is actually rated at his highest point in more than 10 games today, but considering the game, it seems like a good chance to take a chance on him. He has just as much (or more) upside right now than the other offensive D-men around him in this lineup and one of the juiciest matchups on the slate.

Power play defenders

Cale Makar, Colorado Avalanche vs. New York Islanders ($6,600)

The Islanders have been busy lately and will be playing their third game in four nights after returning to the West Coast. The train of easier opponents ends today for the Islanders, who get an Avalanche team that is 22-3-2 at home this season with a plus-54 goal differential. Cale Makar may come into this game scoreless in 10-plus starts, but he’s managed to average more than a point per game during this streak (12 assists).

Makar’s offensive abilities make him a good target every night in DFS, but his scoreless drought has also made him better value lately for everyday fantasy hockey. It will only be the sixth time in over 30 games that he’s gone under $7,000 on DraftKings and now gets a weary Islanders squad to potentially break a boring streak against. With Colorado having an implied team total of nearly 4.0 (and being -290 home favorites), you’ll want to be exposed to some of their offense, and paying for Makar at the back ensures you get some. get a solid share.

The Blue Jackets come into this game as Florida has scored 31 times in its last seven games, good for almost 4.5 goals per game. Their offense is buzzing right now and they’re up against a Panthers team that helped Columbus score four goals just two weeks ago. The Panthers may have scored eight goals themselves in this game, but they’ve also allowed three or more goals in six of their last 10 outings. The more-money bet to continue trailing a hot Blue Jackets offense seems more than worth it. Get the better of Columbus’ team total 2.5.

Columbus Blue Jackets vs. Florida Panthers

Boone Jenner ($6,300) – Patrik Laine ($6,200) – Jakub Voracek ($3,500)

Just like yesterday when we wrote the Montreal top line to this spot (and they scored us three goals), targeting the Blue Jackets today gives you good flexibility in your positions. I documented the Blue Jackets’ offensive heating above and much of their production comes from that top line. Patrik Laine and Boone Jenner have combined for 13 points between them in their last three games. What’s more impressive is that only one of those 13 points came on the power play.

Laine himself has been an absolute threat at 5-on-5 lately and is coming off a game where he won the OT winner against the Maple Leafs. Laine could eventually settle down in the goalscoring department, but he also averages 3.3 shots per game in his last 10 starts and remains slightly undervalued given his improved efficiency. Jenner will continue to benefit from playing as the top scorer, as will playmaker Jakub Voracek, who has as many as 33 assists on the year.

Voracek might not give us much of an edge in the goalscoring department, but the 3.3k price tag is too cheap to ignore for a player who averages 0.7 assists per game and has seen his overall ice time and his offensive zone opportunities increase lately. Stack the Columbus top unit for more savings today that will have you paying for cleats elsewhere.

Superstar to target

David Pastrnak, Boston Bruins vs. Seattle Kraken ($8,400)

The Bruins-Kraken matchup is shaping up to be a mismatch of epic proportions. Seattle has lost five in a row and has been essentially snuffed out in each of its last two games by average opponents. Today they host the Bruins who are coming off a big win over Colorado and have one of the best forwards in hockey right now, David Pastrnak. Pastrnak has scored seven goals in his last 10 games and three in his last two.

For fantasy purposes, he averages 4.3 shots on net and benefits from a Bruins power play that has been hot lately. Boston is now seventh in overall power-play efficiency and faces a Seattle team that has the sixth-worst power play. Boston can get Brad Marchand ($7,700) back today too, but today’s decision is to keep aiming for the Bruins stud winger against this weak opponent and hopefully get another fantastic big day out of the Swede.

Attack Value

Sam Bennett, Florida Panthers vs. Columbus Blue Jackets ($5,200)

The Panthers have a whopping 4.9 implied team total, possibly the biggest we’ve seen all season. As such, all of their best six and even their best nine players are in play for day-to-day fantasy hockey purposes, and the best value of this group seems to be Sam Bennett. Bennett has scored just one goal in his last five games, but the quiet spell shouldn’t deter you from fielding a player who is averaging over 0.5 goals per game this year. It’s worth noting Bennett’s home splits. The center have averaged 16.5 DKFPs at home compared to just 7.2 on the road. He averaged 4.1 shots on goal and scored 17 goals in 22 home games. Grab a piece of the Panthers on the cheap with Bennett today.

Tyler Toffoli, Calgary Flames vs. Vancouver Canucks ($3,700)

The Calgary Flames are another offense we should be proud to take on freely. Calgary is now tied for seventh with Tampa in goals per game and faces a Canucks team that has allowed an average of 4.1 goals in its last five starts. Tyler Toffoli has integrated perfectly into Calgary’s offense (two goals in four games) and he benefited from an increase in ice time in his last outing. He gets power-play time with the first unit and faces the league’s worst penalty kill in Vancouver. The sub 4k salary does not reflect his true advantage and makes him a great value today.

Goalkeeper

Igor Shesterkin, New York Rangers vs. Washington Capitals ($7,900)

There’s almost nowhere to hide on this net slate. We have a ton of bad matchups and suspicious options to choose from. The only safe haven – to which we have been able to turn all season – remains in New York, where Vézina candidate Igor Shesterkin stands out as an excellent target under $8,000. Rangers are small favorites at -125 on the DraftKings Sportsbook, but Shesterkin has dominated at home averaging 20.6 DKFP in 17 home starts this year. He had a 13-2-2 record and a .941 save percentage.

The Capitals’ offense has certainly picked up the slack lately, but that should only help keep Shesterkin’s ownership in the big fields. It’s hard not to see a lower score and a tight game developing, and Rangers (mainly Shesterkin) have been brilliant in winning those home games this year. Support it once again at a great price today.

Value on Defense

Noah Hanifin, Calgary Flames vs. Vancouver Canucks ($3,700)

If we’re looking to drop below $4,000 on defense today, then we should be looking squarely at teams like Calgary, Pittsburgh and Florida. Each is a heavy favorite and top 10 offenses. Of the group, Calgary’s Noah Hanifin appears to be the best bang for the buck, as he’s still entrenched in a top-four role and provides solid power-play exposure. It’s rare to find power-play specialists on a team as good as Calgary, especially at this price, and Hanifin also averaged a decent 3.4 shots on net + shots blocked in his last 10 games.

The advantage with Hanifin for day-to-day fantasy hockey purposes is heightened by his matchup, as the Canucks still possess the worst penalty kill in the league. It’s important to look for creative ways to get to grips with the big offenses on this list, and Hanifin is an easy way to get more Calgary into our lineups.

Power play defenders

Aaron Ekblad, Florida Panthers vs. Columbus Blue Jackets ($6,800)

As mentioned above, the Panthers are at home with an implied team total of 4.9, so it would be remiss of me to mention just one of their players. Aaron Ekblad gives us good exposure to the Panthers’ best power-play unit, which is well-positioned to score a few goals against the Blue Jackets and their 78.6 percent penalty-killing rate on the road.

Ekblad has picked things up over the past month, and he’s coming in with 13 points and averaging 15.2 DKFP per game in his last 10 games. Like Sam Bennett, he has also been much more productive at home, averaging 15.7 DKFP at home compared to 10.3 DKFP in road games. Add Ekblad to your Panther stacks today and feel good spending.

Anaheim Ducks Moneyline -150

That line isn’t huge, but it feels like we’re getting decent value to bring the Ducks home today. Anaheim suffered a high-profile mini-drop in its last outing, earning a 7-4 road win over the Canucks a few nights ago. They rested at home and got a Sharks team today that lost six straight games and resorted to off waivers to try to salvage their season. The Ducks are close to full strength up front and have the advantage on special teams with their top-five power play. They should be able to outsmart a struggling Sharks team today.

Gustav Nyquist scores a +100 point

If you’re looking for a player prop to target, then the Blue Jackets-Maple Leafs game, which has a 7.0 total goals at the time of writing, is a good place to start looking. Columbus is a heavy underdog but gets a Toronto team that allowed the Canadiens five goals last night. The Blue Jackets’ offense has been strong lately (27 goals in their last six games) and veteran Gustav Nyquist has played a big part in that success, tallying 10 points in his last 10 games. He’s playing over 17 minutes a game and is still available at positive odds just to pick up a point – in a game where the goals should be flowing pretty heavily.

Top stack

St. Louis Blues vs. Philadelphia Flyers

Robert Thomas ($4,600) – Pavel Buchnevich ($5,900) – Vladimir Tarasenko ($7,100)

The Blues’ offense has been buzzing lately, scoring 23 goals in their last five games. They’ll bring Vladimir Tarasenko back to the lineup today, which is great for day-to-day fantasy hockey because it means the Blues will have their full top six intact and makes them easier to stack. St. Louis has also made this trio of Tarasenko, Buchnevich and Thomas their best power-play unit lately, which has given them an added advantage, especially against teams with weaker special teams like Philadelphia.

That unit now has a combined 18 true points in its last three games and faces a Flyers team that ranks ninth in shorthanded efficiency and allows the fifth-most shots per game. It’s a fantastic place for Vladimir Tarasenko to get back on track after a few days off, and the winger was in great form before missing a game, scoring 35.4 DKFP just two starts ago against another weak defensive team of the Senators. The real value though is Thomas, who remains under $5,000 and has averaged over 20.0 DKFP in his last three games. Thomas is thriving with the special extra minutes and has also played over 19 minutes in three consecutive starts.

Stack the Blues, the best power play unit, which has correlated really well in fantasy lately and comes in with one of the best matchups on the board.

Superstar to target

Kirill Kaprizov, Minnesota Wild at Ottawa Senators ($8,700)

There are big implied team totals today on teams like the Leafs and Blues that we need to be wary of. However, the Wild also have a terrific game against the Senators and they have an implied goal total that sits around 4.0 goals. Minnesota faces an Ottawa team that has little skill in net or defense and has given up the 11th most scoring chances this season.

Kirill Kaprizov then establishes himself as an excellent payment target and might even be slightly under-held on this list. Kaprizov was quiet in the Wild’s thrashing against Edmonton in his last outing, but has scored 22.0 DKFP or higher in three of his last five starts. If you pay for the Wild star, you can still get exposure in Toronto and St. Louis, who have better depth on their second lines that offer good value for fantasy purposes. Kaprizov, however, looks likely to bounce back quickly today in a big game and is the best way to expose himself to this powerful Wild attack.

Attack value

Sonny Milano, Anaheim Ducks vs. San Jose Sharks ($3,800)

The Ducks erupted in their last start, scoring seven goals against Vancouver. The win ended a four-game losing streak and it’s quite possible we’ll have a continuation today of the Ducks’ offense against a struggling Sharks team.

Sonny Milano gives you good exposure to this offense as he is entrenched in a starring role that includes him in the top unit power play. Anaheim’s power play is ranked fourth in the league, and Milano has been efficient on offense lately, scoring four points in its last three games (including two goals on its last three shots). There is a solid upside target below $4,000 today.

Goalkeeper

Ilya Sorokin, New York Islanders at Seattle Kraken ($7,800)

The goalkeeping situation is interesting today, as we have some big favorites who are likely to be well owned, and a lot of shifts on the board. You could try your luck with one of the big GPP underdogs, but the security that Ilya Sorokin offers (at a very reasonable price) is probably more appealing. The Kraken’s offense is lethargic at best as they have failed to score more than three goals in six of their last nine starts. Sorokin has played well for the Islanders over the past two months and has stopped 51 of the last 54 shots he has faced over the past two games.

With New York as -155 favorites on DraftKings Sportsbook, and Seattle coming a back-to-back, targeting Sorokin for NHL DFS seems like smart play, especially if you need to save some cash on net. He’s probably the best value at his position considering the game.

Value on Defense

Justin Faulk, St. Louis Blues to Philadelphia Flyers ($4,500)

If you’re targeting Blues forwards today, it may behoove you to look at their back-end as well, which often has good upside value. Justin Faulk looks to be standing out today at well under $5,000 as the defenseman enters this game having picked up points in six straight games. Faulk is great at taking advantage of seeing so much ice time with high-level offensive players and he still shares the majority of the Blues’ power-play time with Torey Krug ($5,300).

Regardless of the forwards you stack today from St. Louis, using Faulk on defense with them will help add to your roster advantage given his propensity for catching points. He is good value and a great addition to any Blues heavy roster given this game.

Power play defenders

Zach Werenski, Columbus Blue Jackets vs. Toronto Maple Leafs ($7,000)

We’ve got a monster game total to aim for in this Tuesday’s Blue Jackets – Maple Leafs game, as it’s now hit 7.0 on DraftKings Sportsbook. Although the Leafs are heavy favorites, I love the Blue Jackets offense in this game almost as much as they’ve been hot lately, scoring 28 goals in their last six games. Zach Werenski has been a key part of that production, picking up six points in his last five starts.

The former 20-goal scorer has benefited from the Blue Jackets’ return to full force up front and he faces a Toronto side that have allowed 11 goals in their last two games and will be without one of their best defensemen to Jake Muzzin today. Werenski and the Jackets probably look upset with this depleted Leafs roster. With their offense so good, paying for the man running their best power play unit makes sense today on defense for your NHL DFS rosters.

UFC Fight Night Picks, Odds, Betting Splits: DraftKings MMA DFS Cheat Sheet for February 19

Saturday’s UFC Fight Night card received a substantial overhaul at the top, losing the original main event between Rafael dos Anjos and Rafael Fiziev. That fight will now serve as the co-main event for UFC 272 on March 5. Instead, Saturday’s card is now headlined by a light heavyweight bout between Jamahal Hill and Johnny Walker.

The main card begins at 7:00 p.m. ET with a potential firefight between Joaquin Buckley and Abdul Razak Alhassan. Buckley and Alhassan both have great punching power and this fight is very likely to feature a knockout because DraftKings Sportsbook gave the Exact method of victory: KO/TKO/DQ -330 odds for this fight. The main event between Hill and Walker is also expected to end in a knockout, with odds of -400.

Value Play: Abdul Razak Alhassan ($7,900)

It should be noted for this fight that Alhassan recently switched fight camps, moving to Elevation Fight Team, which is one of the top camps in the sport and includes fighters such as Justin Gaethje, Cory Sandhagen, Neil Magny and Curtis. Blaydes. UFC welterweight champion Kamaru Usman also trained with Team Elevation to prepare for his title fight against Gilbert Burns, and Alhassan said Usman was the one who suggested he switch sides. . Alhassan scored four times over 120 DraftKings Fantasy Points (DKFP) and peaked at 150 DKFP, which is the type of advantage he carries in this fight. The move to Elevation could also extend Alhassan’s window of success if his cardio has improved his training with a strong team in Colorado.

Stud to pay for: Jonathan Pearce ($9,300)

At -365 on the Moneyline, Pearce is the biggest favorite on this list due in part to a late opponent switch. Christian Rodriguez, Pearce’s opponent, took the fight on extremely short notice. Fighters who fight on short notice are usually at a great disadvantage due to a lack of preparation time, which can lead to stamina and timing issues. Rodriguez is also fairly inexperienced and his only UFC experience is on Dana White’s Contender Series.

Pearce has excellent rate stats for fantasy scoring, landing around seven significant strikes per minute and averaging a ridiculous seven takedowns per 15 minutes, the most on the slate. Pearce also has a larger frame. Pearce is five inches taller and Rodriguez has fought a weight class at bantamweight, so Pearce should also come in with the height advantage, which may help him in his pursuit of takedowns.

Pearce’s high punching and grappling volume has seen him score over 120 DraftKings Fantasy Points (DKFP) in each of his last two fights, and he carries a big fantasy advantage.

Hill and Walker are tall and long. Hill is 6’4 with a reach of 79 inches, while Walker is 6’6 with a massive reach of 82 inches. Walker’s 82-inch reach is one of the longest in the entire UFC and allows him to land strikes at distances opponents aren’t used to. Walker will be the longest opponent Hill has faced in the UFC.

Hill makes up for a lack of grappling volume with a ton of punch volume. Hill lands around 7.5 significant punches per minute, second on the slate. Walker’s punch volume has been far less, landing around 3.5 significant punches per minute, but he makes up for it with power. All of Walker’s last four wins have been by KO/TKO.

Hill’s strike-to-absorb ratio is excellent at over 2:1. Walker also landed more strikes than he absorbed, although his ratio wasn’t quite as good.

St. Louis Blues 3.5+ goals (-125)

The Blues’ offense continues after scoring 20 goals in their last five games. Once a big victim of COVID outbreaks earlier in the season, the Blues have mostly their full roster intact and are rolling three even score lines. They get the Canadiens today, which means we should see another outburst. The -125 line isn’t ideal on such a big total, but the Blues’ current form and health, along with the fact that they’re up against the absolute worst defensive team in hockey, means betting over the total remain the strongest game.

Money Line Blue Jackets +130

The Blue Jackets have been playing a bit better lately and are now just three points off ninth place in the Eastern Conference with games down. They have won three of their last four games and have averaged 3.85 goals per game in their last six starts. The Blackhawks have had great goaltenders lately, but they’re also 2-4 in their last six starts. They are sixth in expected goal rate and fifth in shorthandedness. Columbus’ productive offense is worth supporting today against a weaker team like Chicago.

Top stack

Edmonton Oilers vs. Anaheim Ducks

Connor McDavid ($9,300) – Zach Hyman ($4,300) – Jesse Puljujarvi ($4,200)

The Oilers have started to show better consistency lately and will face a Ducks team that plays the end of a back-to-back game. Anaheim has allowed 3.5 goals per game in its last six starts and showed some fatigue mid-season after a blistering start.

Connor McDavid has also shown some fantastic fatigue midway through this season, but that should cut into his ownership today (in a good game). McDavid has averaged just 14.6 DKFP in his last 10 starts (two points below average), but he has scored five points in his last three games. He’s come back to having Zach Hyman on his wing, and the two have been very productive in fits and starts for Edmonton at the start of the year. Hyman has had three or more shots on net in each of his last four games and has scored in two of those starts. Against an Anaheim team that is regressing defensively in many areas right now, pairing Hyman with McDavid provides a multi-goal advantage and really lowers the cost on the stack.

Jesse Puljujarvi is also good at targeting when he’s this cheap. He’s been on a bit of a slow streak lately, but he’s still getting power-play time alongside McDavid. It’s a well-correlated trio that offers two high-value options to pair with a McDavid player who looks set to deliver plenty of fantasy goodness against a struggling team.

Superstar to target

Vladimir Tarasenko, St. Louis Blues at Montreal Canadiens ($6,400)

As mentioned above, I think this is a good roster to pivot to the Oilers top center if you’re paying for a star. However, there are plenty of cheaper options to build on this list, and Vladimir Tarasenko should be high on your list of next-tier values. The Russian winger has picked up his game lately, scoring 11 points in his last 10 games. He’s really played into the Blues’ recent offensive explosion, scoring four goals in his last four starts.

Tarasenko’s shot volume isn’t as consistent as other top forwards, but he’s also available for under 7,000 and has hit the DK shot bonus three times in his last 12 starts. Montreal gives up the third most shots and ranks third in terms of shorthanded efficiency. It’s a great positive for Tarasenko to keep smashing, and his salary won’t break the rest of your roster, allowing you to pay in other areas if needed.

Attack Value

Dylan Cozens, Buffalo Sabers vs. Ottawa Senators ($3,500)

The Sabers and Senators face off today in a battle between two of hockey’s worst defensive teams. Buffalo’s offense continues with 11 goals scored in their last two games. They’re a young team that’s hard to trust, but in a game against a team like Ottawa that allows the sixth most shots on net, we can definitely consider the top six players like Cozens as potential values. for GPP alignments. The center has averaged over 10.0 DKFP in his last 10 games and plays alongside a fine goalscoring winger in Victor Olofsson ($3,300) which has warmed up lately.

Tom Wilson, Washington Capitals to Philadelphia Flyers ($3,800)

Thatcher Demko, Vancouver Canucks vs. San Jose Sharks ($7,700)

The Canucks face the struggling Sharks who have now lost six of their last seven games. San Jose has struggled to score lately and is dealing with injury issues with key offensive players, making it a solid game for any goaltender right now. Demko has been very good lately for fantasy purposes and comes into this game having stopped 100 of the last 104 shots he has faced (in the last three games).

This slate doesn’t have a ton of huge favorites, so it’s worth noting that the Canucks are the slight favorites at -115 on the DraftKings Sportsbook, which makes Demko’s price tag quite affordable. We should expect the Rangers starter to be heavily lined up under $7,000, which will potentially leave some nice value like Demko Lower. He’s been posting tons of upside lately and is in a very positive game today, making him the goalie’s favorite target over just about anyone else on the slate.

Value on Defense

Oliver Ekman-Larsson, Vancouver Canucks vs. San Jose Sharks ($4,100)

The Canucks offense has been much more productive since their coaching change and now has a respectable power play. While injury issues helped, this improvement pushed Oliver Ekman-Larsson to become a more productive player for fantasy purposes and high-value play.

Ekman-Larsson is now averaging 10.5 DKFP over his last 10 games and has five points alone in his last four games. The Canucks need to get Quinn Hughes back from COVID today, but with him out for a while (and Ekman-Larsson being so productive lately), we’ll likely see Ekman-Larsson still get plenty of power play exposure. against a struggling The Sharks team. Nashville Moneyline Predators -140

The Predators face a Capitals team that continues to struggle. Washington has lost three of its last four games and two of those losses have come to luminaries such as the Columbus Blue Jackets and Ottawa Senators. The Predators themselves have lost two in a row, but are 5-2 in their last seven games and have allowed the eighth-fewest scoring chances this season. The advantage in net today is heavy in favor of Nashville, with Juuse Saros having a .931 save percentage in 21 starts at home this season. Take the Predators straight today.

Calgary Flames over 3.5 goals -130

The Flames offense is once again overwhelming every night. Calgary has scored four or more goals in five consecutive games and has averaged 4.8 goals in that span. The Flames have just added former Canadian Tyler Toffoli to strengthen their second line and face one of the worst defensive teams in hockey today with the Blue Jackets. Columbus has allowed the fourth-highest scoring chance and has the 10th-worst penalty kill. The odds of more than 3.5 goals seem low, but the game and the boost they’re getting from a recent trade means the turnover should continue for one more night.

Calgary Flames vs Columbus Blue Jackets

Elias Lindholm ($6,500) – Johnny Gaudreau ($7,500) – Matthew Tkachuk ($6,000)

I mentioned the Flames’ roster above and while the talk in the NHL may be about the big trade they made to bolster their depth, the DFS game tonight continues to pile on their front row. Calgary’s top unit remains the most productive line in hockey with 42 goals this season, and while there are other top units on the roster in Dallas and Nashville, the value and the game against Calgary is unmatched today. today.

Matthew Tkachuk looks the most underrated of the bunch, as he’s well over a point per game this season and has averaged 13.8 DraftKings points over his last 10 games. Tkachuk still holds a 1a role to Johnny Gaudreau, who has been in tears for over a month now. Gaudreau is also averaging just under 3.6 shots per game in his last 10 starts and the line as a whole has amassed 12 points in the last three games.

It’s not a contrarian pick at all, as many people will be drawn to the game against Columbus today, but Calgary’s best players are better correlated than almost anyone in DFS. Missing a blast from them today will likely leave you far behind.

Superstar to target

Nikita Kucherov, Tampa Bay Lightning to New Jersey Devils ($8,500)

Kucherov went a big goose egg in his last game, picking up fantastic zero points on DraftKings in 22 minutes played. It’s actually an impressive feat, but not one I’d be looking for Kucherov to achieve again anytime soon. He’s averaged 4.3 shots per game and 16.8 DraftKings points per game over his last 10 starts, even with that 0.0 performance added.

Today’s game couldn’t be better for a rebound either as the Devils rank fourth last in goals-against average and allowed eighth-best scoring chances in the league. Kucherov has been good at posting monster games after poor performances this season, and with such a limp performance, paying for the elite winger seems like a good move today.

Attack value

Brayden Schenn, St. Louis Blues at Ottawa Senators ($3,900)

Brayden Schenn has had a nice tear lately. The winger has 13 points in his last 10 games and has also been an excellent power-play player, including four with the man advantage. Schenn’s price today makes him almost clear space given the usage and production we’ve seen from him lately, and the game with Ottawa is strong as well. Ottawa allows the sixth most shots and ranks 10th in goals against per game. Schenn is an easy value target and a good way to get exposed to an elite St. Louis offense.

Valeri Nichushkin, Colorado Avalanche vs. Dallas Stars ($4,300)

I’d expect more fireworks from Colorado’s offense today, as they’re at home and against a Stars team they scored four goals against in their last outing. Nichushkin continues to surprise to fantastical ends as he is locked in a top-six role alongside an elite center in Nazem Kadri ($8,000) and has also averaged 3.5 shots on goal and 11.7 DraftKings points over his last 10 games. Nichuskin and Kadri could be a great contrarian stack today, but even using the Russian winger on his own is good as he’s one of the best cheap values under $5,000 up front.

Goalkeepers

Ville Husso, St. Louis Blues vs. Ottawa Senators ($8,100)

The Blues are listed on this list as -205 favorites on the road, which only puts them as the fifth biggest favorite on this list. With all those big goalies to pay, it’s possible that Husso will slip through the cracks and come to inferior ownership. That would be a great scenario for your big rosters, as Husso has been fantastic lately for the Blues, posting a .950 save percentage in his last 10 starts, a streak that includes a 7-1 record.

A hot goaltender is one thing, but he also has a great game against Ottawa, which attempts more than 30 shots per game but also averaged less than 2.8 goals per game for the season. Husso isn’t as expensive as other top favorites and brings better form than virtually any goalkeeper on the slate. He’s an elite target for Tuesday’s full roster and a good way to stack more Blues today.

Value on Defense

Justin Faulk, St. Louis Blues at Ottawa Senators ($4,100)

There are plenty of high-profile games to discuss on this list, but the Blues taking on the Senators are the ones we should be hyper-focused on for value purposes. We’ve already mentioned Brayden Schenn above as a great cheap option you can use to expose yourself to the Blues’ top five power play units and we can even double our exposure by also adding Justin Faulk, a player who has seen his power play increase in the Blues’ last game.

Faulk is playing in the top five, averaging more than 0.5 points per game this season and has a positive game against a team that gives up a lot of shots on net. The veteran has proven he still has plenty of upside in the tank lately, as he’s landed four games with 10.0 DKFP or higher in his last six starts. Another decent outing today wouldn’t be shocking against a weak opponent.

Power play defenders

Noah Dobson, New York Islanders at Buffalo Sabers ($5,500)

The Islanders have a generous game against the Buffalo Sabers today, which should see us beat many of their special teams players. Despite his team’s struggles for most of the season, Noah Dobson has quietly transformed into one of the best values in defense over the past two months. He enters this game averaging 5.7 blocked shots + shots on goal per game over his last 10 starts and remains the primary power-play quarterback for the Islanders’ PP1.

The Isles’ power-play advantage isn’t great (they’re 12th last in power-play efficiency), but today’s game and Dobson’s own production in blocked shots and shots on goal should we have very high on it at this price. Buffalo ranks only 23rd in shorthanded efficiency and Dobson has found seven of his 19 points this season with the man advantage. He’s a great next-level value in defense to build around.

While still allowing goals at an alarming rate, they’re also buoyed by Patrik Laine-inspired play and today face a Sabers team that’s almost as bad as them at keeping the puck out of their own net. . The Sabers are in the last 10 shorthanded and have allowed four or more goals in four of their last six games. The great odds at stake on this one make it very juicy and well worth taking.

Carolina Hurricanes +100 Moneyline

The Bruins suffered a big loss yesterday when Brad Marchand was suspended for six games. It was well deserved, but it leaves Boston in a tight spot with Carolina coming to town. They also face a deflating loss to Pittsburgh and the retirement of Tuukka Rask. The Hurricanes nearly managed a four-goal comeback in their last game and should be buzzing today after being beaten by a weaker Senators team. They are set up as a good value for more money.

Tampa Bay Lightning in Colorado Avalanche

Brayden Point ($6,200) – Nikita Kucherov ($7,500) – Ondrej Palat ($4,700)

The Tampa Bay Lightning should return to their front row when they face the Avalanche. The Avalanche have been great at home this season (20-2-2), but they’re a team that doesn’t shy away from shootouts either. The Avalanche only produced a 74% penalty kill rate at home, which ranks them in the bottom eight in the league.

The Lightning will also be ready to take full advantage as they should have Nikita Kucherov back for this game. The Russian winger has 17 points in his first 11 games of the season and has had the Lightning front line strong every night lately. His 4.4 shots on goal in the last 10 games also make his $7,500 salary tonight look extremely cheap and the fact that he’s still considered day-to-day (but very likely to play) should help. keep ownership levels low.

Using him with Brayden Point is also a no-brainer, as both play long minutes on both regular strength and the power play. There are a few big names we might consider paying for today like David Pastrnak ($8,300) and Auston Matthews ($9,700) are both on this juicy list, but the best value can be had by paying simply for Sidney Crosby. Crosby has averaged 19.1 DKFP over his last 10 starts, a stat that certainly makes his $7,000 salary look objectively low compared to other big names.

The Penguins big line has really upped production since being fully healthy and has now combined for an incredible 17 points between them in the last three games alone. The Senators have been playing better lately, but they’re also thin up front due to injuries and will likely need a monster game from former Penguin Matt Murray ($7,200) to keep the score healthy. Crosby is in an excellent position to significantly surpass his salary today and scores as an excellent primary target.

Attack value

Patrik Laine, Columbus Blue Jackets at Buffalo Sabers ($4,500)

As mentioned above, Columbus’ offense has been on the run lately. Laine has been a huge reason why the Finn has netted an incredible six goals in his last three games. More incredible is the fact that you can still field Laine today for less than $5,000 against a Sabers team that allows the second-most shots per game and has a last-10 penalty kill. Wool and center Boone Jenner ($5,300) can even be had for less than $10,000 per pair, making Columbus’ top liners a great source of value.

Brayden Schenn, St. Louis Blues vs. New Jersey Devils ($4,300)

Brayden Schenn is another winger who has been playing well lately and looks way too low. Schenn comes into this game having had 13 points in his last 10 games and is back in a starring role alongside Ryan O’Reilly ($5,900) for the Blues. The winger isn’t a high-volume shooter these days, but he’s been connecting a lot lately and exposing us to one of the best power plays in the league, who face the Devils (who occupy penultimate list of goals against this season). Both Schenn and Laine are high value targets if you want to pay the winger today.

Goalkeepers

Frederik Andersen, Carolina Hurricanes vs. Boston Bruins ($7,500)

The Hurricanes are coming off back-to-back 4-3 losses, but it’s worth noting that even though Andersen took the L in his last start, he still maintained a tough Toronto offense with just three goals in regulation . Andersen has been as solid on the road this season as he has been at home, posting a .927 save percentage and a 13-3-1 road record in 17 appearances.

There are bigger favorites to target on this list, but we also have to consider the price tag, which sees the former Maple Leaf at one of his lowest salary points of the season today. When you also factor in the fact that the Bruins don’t have one of their best wingers, the advantage and value you get with Andersen seems unmatched at these levels. He is a great GPP target and will help the process of building more balanced lists today.

Dmitry Orlov, Washington Capitals vs. Montreal Canadiens ($3,500)

Even in this bigger showdown, his salary remained well below $4,000, making him an easy value target. The Capitals could be without Alex Ovechkin for another game, but they’ll also open up more shot attempts for role players like Orlov. Target Washington players your way today against the worst team in hockey.

Power play defenders

Zach Werenski, Columbus Blue Jackets at Buffalo Sabers ($6,100)

We can attack the Sabers in multiple ways today and the blue line is the exception. Zach Werenski may be in a scoreless drought, but he still looks solid in this game against the Devils. Werenski is racking up some of the highest power play minutes per game in the entire league and is averaging a solid 4.5 blocked shots + shots on goal over his last 10 games.

The big games haven’t been there lately for Werenski, but he still averages over 0.5 points on the season and faces a team that gives up a lot of shots on net. Any stack of Blue Jackets forwards tonight will pay off, and adding Werenski to that at just over $6,000 is a good idea given how popular that offense has been lately. A breakout game wouldn’t be shocking for a player who is shooting well below his career average right now.
