Spotify removes curated playlists for every character, including Berlin

“Bella Ciao” is the song that ruled Money theft since its first season, serving as an anthem, festive jam and call to action. But Netflix and Spotify want to remind fans that each La Casa de Papel the character is worthy of his own soundtrack. How? ‘Or’ What?

Spotify launched nine playlists as part of its partnership with Netflix to celebrate the series’ upcoming wrap. Professor, Berlin, Tokyo, Lisbon, Stockholm, Marseille, Rio, Denver and even Alicia Sierra all have their own playlists on the service. Here’s a taste of what music fans can hear.

Spotify “Money Heist” playlists are available for free and premium users

Spotify has an ongoing relationship with Netflix for its shows, including a playlist section for Lucifer characters. Money theft fans will find exclusive interview clips, a photo gallery and more on the platform. For this musical getaway, Spotify shared this in a press release:

To set the tone for the launch, users around the world will have access to a new digital experience where they can take a quiz to discover their perfect La Banda character and soundtrack – whether it’s Professor’s Bunker Beats, Denver’s Love & War Mixtape, Marseille’s Escape Tracks, Rio’s Hacking Jams or Tokyo’s Party Mix. The destination will also feature new exclusive videos from the cast, and the official playlist will include all of the latest tracks from Part 2 of the final season.

The best part is that it is free for all subscribers. Entitled “La Banda Playlists”, the collections are adapted to the personal tastes of the group.

Tokyo loves to party

Are you looking for something fun? Tokyo streaming hits such as “Crazy in Love” by Beyoncé and Jay-Z, “Rich Girl” by Gwen Stefani and Eve and “Work B * tch” by Britney Spears.

The professor likes soft, rebellious and classic tunes

Berlin’s “Classy Vibes” keep the sweetness

Surprisingly moving, the musical taste of Berlin includes “Ti Amo” by Umberto Tozzi, “Then He Kissed Me” by The Crystals, “Love” by Carla Bruni and “Happiness is a Warm Gun” by The Beatles.

Lisbon loves spicy rock and roll

Entitled “Lisbon’s Pencil Bun Playlist”, the collection includes “Proud Mary”, “Wake Up” by Arcade Fire, “Mafiosa” by Nathy Peluso and “Police On My Back” by The Clash. Stream over 20 of her favorite choices.

Denver loves edgy with a touch of love

For Denver’s “Love & War Mixtape,” expect a roller coaster ride. He prefers songs steeped in reggae and reggaeton like “Con Altura” by Rosalía and “Murder She Wrote” by Chaka Demus & Pliers. Other songs include “Gangsta’s Paradise”, “Effe” by Tony Effe, “Bajo La Piel” by Alice Wonder and Jaime Lorente’s own “Mirando al Sol”.

The Hacking Jams of Rio

Find out which tunes keep Rio focused. Sech’s “Relación”, NWA’s “F * ck Tha Police” and Link Wray’s “Juke Box Mama” are on his playlist.

The Marseille list is very much on the theme “Money Heist”

Entitled “Marseille’s Escape Tracks”, the series’ elusive assistant’s playlist features upbeat and heartwarming songs. David Bowie’s “Heroes”, Chet Faker’s “Gold” and Quincy Jones’s “Money Runner” are just a few examples.

Stockholm tunes handpicked for women’s empowerment

As one of the renegades who defected from the Royal Mint to Team Resistance, Stockholm is in a unique position. It is no wonder that his list contains songs such as “Rebel Rebel” by David Bowie, “Secretary” by Betty Wright and “Yo no soy esa” by Mari Trini.

Alicia Sierra is remarkably optimistic in her soundtrack

You’d think Alicia would go for dark and dark tracks, but her “Badass Anthems” list has a few surprises, including “Love Boat”. She is also in “Lovely Day” by Bill Withers, “Santa Claus Is Coming to Town” by Sinatra and “More Than a Woman” by Bee Gees. There is also Najwa Nimri’s own version of “Bella Ciao!”
