Pat Fitzmaurice’s Fantasy Football Rankings, Tips and Cheat Sheet (Fantasy Football 2022)
In a league that requires you to start three WRs every week, you need to hammer the WR position early. Your goal should be to overwhelm your competition at WR – ideally your WR4 will be better than everyone’s WR3 and maybe even some people’s WR2.
Injury rates are high at RB, and we see under-regarded RBs fall into high-leverage roles every season. It’s much rarer for an underrated wide receiver to become a star. You are better off investing more provisional capital in a low volatility position than in a high volatility position.
It’s OK to switch to QB or TE, but not both positions. The RB and WR positions are essential, and if you pay for luxury brands at both QB and TE, you are bound to be weak at RB or WR.
