2022 PLAYERS – DraftKings PGA DFS Daily Cheat Sheet & Overview – FantasyCruncher.com DFS Articles & Insights

Players are playing TPC Sawgrass this week, and we’ll be looking for ball forwards here, with a tilt towards SG:APP – but focusing on SG:OTT and cumulatively, SG:TTG in terms of metrics. The course history here will also come into play – and while it’s tempting to try and play with the weather here, personally – with significant risk of Thursday/Friday delays, I’ll choose to ignore the noise there -low – instead just focus on which players I think are the best golfers to field rather than trying to get too cute with the weather forecast. Let’s dive in and look at three of my favorite dollar-for-dollar options on the board before diving in with more options that I think are worth adding to your player pools this week!

Best of the Best (considering salary)

Very often it is difficult to get a decent build in a non-major with the most expensive golfer. This week, that’s certainly not the case with so many quality golfers available under $8,000 in the busy event. Rahm has been disappointing on the green, but comes into this one with his ball hitting in great shape and I like his chances to keep rolling this week. Having struggled at Sawgrass before for the past few years, he comes into this one with two pretty solid performances in his last two outings. Although at this price you’d definitely want him in the final couple on Sunday, I think he’ll check in with lower ownership levels than I think he should have for this one, and I like room for him this week in hopes he gets things done on the green.

Niemann missed last time out at The Honda Classic, not shockingly after winning at The Genesis. This week, I love how his game scales with TPC Sawgrass despite not having too long a price history, and I think the price he’s offering will help him control his level of ownership somewhat. For me, he is an elite player, and although he can be inconsistent at times, he has the ball to play with the best of them when his game is on. He’s had great performances in 2 of his last 3 events, and I like his chances of making a splash this week at 2022 PLAYERS.

Getting Henley at this price is exceptional, and he is one of my best options for this weekend’s tournament, dollar for dollar. An elite ball striker, Henley enters this one ranked 6th on tour in SG:APP and 8th in SG:TTG thanks to his work with his approach game and around the green. Although he was only average off the tee, I like his chances of making his 11th straight cut to start the season, and I wouldn’t be surprised to see him with another top 20 for this event. week, which would be great for a golfer priced at $7,400. He’s struggled historically here, but I think it creates an opportunity for him to have ownership about 5-7% lower than what he would be at this price if he had a strong history at TPC Sawgrass .

Our cheat sheets highlight the core games (including some contrarian candidates) that we like the slate the most and, therefore, would recommend a higher level of exposure overall. This is not an exhaustive list, and if you are a multi-entry GPP player, you may decide to eventually have a larger pool of players to work from. Our hope is that this gives you a core group of players to boost your exposure.

Good luck in your contests this week!!
